NY Spearfishing. cold water, striped bass and blackfish. April 27 2021
Water temp 9ºC/48ºF I never seen so many striped bass, all too short.
Fish was hiding. 2 hours in the water. 2 shots, one miss and one legal size Blackfish/Tog 16.5"/42cm.
Not a lot of fish around. Water still cold. Many horseshoe crabs mating. One Blackfish is enough. I could have got 2 legally. But I do not like to take too much from the ocean.
