Lol when I got mine, the blood wasn't red at the beginning, it was brown. My parents thought I sh*t myself. For the full week 😭😂 When it hapenned again a month later, my mom finally realised that it could be my period 😅

All these comments about peoples first periods is making me remember my first time... It was the last day of year 5 camp and we were mountain bike riding back to the bus spot.... my seat felt a bit weird but i thought nothing of it. When i got home i was about to hop in the shower when my mum walked past and noticed my underwear. She started laughing cause she thought i shat myself but then i noticed it was red and her face literally went from :D to D: in like 2 seconds

There’s nothing shameful about periods. It’s not “dirty” in the way some ignorant people insinuate. Schools should teach children about puberty and menstrual periods so they can learn how to take care of themselves when they get it. Periods apply to anyone with a uterus or who is AFAB. Some intersex people, AFAB nonbinary people and trans men get periods, too.
