Someone shared her story on how she got frustrated having a Covid-19 certificate, they were telling her to show the same certificate on her phone and she had no smartphone! She almost lost her flight! I felt her pain as she recalled the incident! Those workers at JKIA should NOT frustrate ANYONE! Let them be educated! Thanks Nyako! 👏👏💯
We support you 💯..Speak for the voiceless and empower the Kenyan travellers to know their rights. JKIA staff are mediocres, if you have experienced their harrasment, you won't think twice why i have insulted them. They always want to be bribed to let you check in like they are doing you a biiiiiiiig favour.
Their time will come! I remember there was a time in mombasa you could not walk into a beach hotel bila kuulizwa maswali ya clinic by the askaris at the gate. Then once you were lucky enough to get in, the waiters would give attitude and rush to serve the mzungus first. Then tourism took a massive hit. Mbona waka anza kutafuta kenyans to support them, ati domestic tourism. Siku hizi wanakupigia salute uki ingia. Everything has it's time.
I agree with you 💯 nyako! I had to cry yangu yote loudly to those Emirates people @ JKIA just get a boarding pass. Emirates never again,it's disgusting.
They are harassing Kenyans from the diaspora, yet we are doing a lot to support kenyas economy. What if we stop sending money home ? That economy is standing because of us. I am asking people to do something about this stupidity at the airport.
Ethiopian Airlines is my best flight in the whole world! i have tried Condor many times, it was just fine till corona struck.Then the service went down like a dead Mjulus! i tried Emirates abd the last time i flew with them the hostesses were nasty like hell! i tried Lufthansa several times but there is always luggage problems(but i might fly with them again in the future). Now am stuck with Ethiopian Airlines cos they are the best so far. They know how to treat passengers right with a smile. The luggage allowance is also awesome, 2x23kg and 10kg hand luggage! wow! last week i had to wait for my connecting flight at Adis Ababa and they allocated me in a 5* Hotel with breakfast and lunch at their own cost.

Bumped into this and well put. I have had my own share of experience with an immigration lady. It is like they are bitter that guys are traveling. Very unfriendly people!
101% true... JKIA staff treat their fellow Kenyans arriving and departing like trash. They just see a "cash cow" that they want to milk dry yet they dont do the same to foreigners! The self hate is real.
Very true, nyako I faced the same story while I was flying Emirates to Zurich. I had two hand lagauges but the weight was what was required. This Kenyans working with Emirates Nairobi are crazy, I don't know what their problem is.
The difference is you can never check in your baggage and fail to board that plane but you can check them as unaccompanied baggage which is handled as cargo There is a rule of baggage reconciliation. In aviation security . But it wasn't fair to be treated like that and shown attitude.

Those female's at the check-in counters especially Emirates airline are arrogant and stupid, i had to ask for theirs supervisors supervisor to get through and they could see my covid certificate and rapid result but nooo... they decided they were going to frustrate me, walijua hawajui, shame on them.
There is a famous blogger called Sam Chui who reviews airlines worldwide,he also got a nasty experience with this airport staff....they seriously need an overhaul
Am so with you. Hizo wispers za kando" tuma balance yenye umebakisha " is just not okay plus it like they solely target Kenyans. Mpaka wakona gutts za kusema unaweza tuma through mpesa. That's their job. They shld check the even if it 12 bags for a family of 6. T they keep nagging one to play so that they don't do their jobs to check the bags! It's just not on. That would explain why we have a shambolic security system. I hate to think k JKIA is a national airport yet the basics are lacking. Where is Magufuli when ee need most. What a role model.... My dear, it's like they are not used to the new unbefristet coz they almost stopped my son from traveling till a layd came and said it's a permanent resident permit..
This is my opinion. I have never heard anyone check in luggage with one airline and travel with another. If a luggage is being sent as cargo, the same way you send a package and it's delivered elsewhere then that is fine. But if you're a traveler and check in a bag as a traveler but you're not in that airline as a traveler, that is inviting a lot more scrutiny which am not surprised by. Not all airlines have the same policies. Kenya may not have the same policies as any other European country. Also, JKIA recently attained a categorical classification that has security implication and compliance. They won't jeopardize that status for this issue.

True they mistreated me due to e passport that I had applied for yet immigration did not have the passports was it my mistake or theirs? A kamkale lady thanks to the gentle man who saved me.

You mean nowdays they check handbags? Thought those they used to be personal valuables. I carried a backpack and a small carry-on suitcase to air Malaysia and i had to tell the lady and she was not bothered she was like, it is ok. You are going home? Safe travels. Things have changed since wah😢😢😢😢

Aki those ladies 😳😳 there was a time karibu ndege iniache eti barua wanataka yenye wanaelea maadishi,the letter was in another language,wakasema siendi mahali,a guy came and saw the letter and told them if they don't understand the language doesn't mean siendi they should Google it the guy saved me wakaniachilia nikapita waliaibika sana.
All over the world. The canyon airport is very rude very very rude. I am so happy you open the mouth to say that 100% angry with you. I'm not going back to my country anymore. They treat African very bad.
I agree with you on this one Nyako. The attitude is at another level. I always say hi and polite to them but the ladies especially got a rotten attitude. 😢
