Great video of East Tremont! I read from the parks dept. That the Park you walked through was the site of the old borough hall building built in 1897. The area was part of Crotona park and there was a garden walkway and circular fountain adorning the building. It was moved to 161st street and Grand Concourse in 1935. The building was later demolished in 1969 and the area was landscaped into a sitting area. The grand staircase by Third ave is all that remains of this site. Do you have any videos of Crotona Park?

At 32:32, this is Tremont Park, site of the old Bronx Borough Hall, erected in 1897. The Grand Staircase dates from 1899. After 1935, the building was used exclusively as a marriage license bureau. It was pulled down in 1968 after a fire. You can find all this on Google. Thank you so much for your wonderful explorations of New York and its environs. You are an institution unto yourself. Do be careful.

Even the Bronx looks cleaner than all our districts here. I always thought that the Bronx is dirty, criminal and full with graffiti. That is not the case. In European big cities the worst districts look way more dirtier ( London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid )

Those days of the "Bronx is burning" ended in 1990s...it's changed dramatically. South Bronx, which was worse part, has been getting gentrified and called "So-Bro" by realtors and Hipsters

Yes, I'm fine. Many things happened. I unintentionally leaked my personal information, then ended the live stream quickly and made it private so people couldn't go back to see it. I then started up the second live stream, someone confronted me who wasn't happy that I was recording his image or his area while I was still setting it up, deleted that live stream, and decided to end it for the day. It would have taken a very long time to set up the second live stream without a computer, and I also needed to deal with changing my phone number!

Don't eat at bodegas. Most of the time they don't keep their appliances clean & that gets on the food, especially if the place smells like bad air conditioner. It likely means that they haven't had their vents cleaned. They have cats also because they have mice.

Hi, always enjoy your videos. I looked up Walter Gladwin, turns out he was an Afro-American noted for his public service. The park used to be the location of the Bronx Bourgh Hall, and the staircase was the entrance to the main building, whuch was demolished, due to disrepair in 1969.

At that busy intersection on Tremont and Third, a lot of traffic is headed to the Cross Bronx Expressway. You should see it when there's no pandemic and you have kids and workers navigating the streets as well. There are several schools on that route.

Hey, Action Kid, hi. Anyway the Bronx is the second smallest burough in both size and population. Only Manhatten is smaller in size and Staten Island is smaller in population. BTW, I think that Kennedy's Chicken is where Happyland Night Club used to be. Look up that fire in 1990. There's a memorial across the street.

Hey- thats my area! Couldve visted Crotona Park - much bigger and has a pond with ducks etc. If you bike the area- you could go up Crotona Ave connect with Pelham Parkway to Pelham Park / Orchard Beach- theres a bike path the whole route.

I'm from fargo north dakota and this entire state seems to be very dirty.Reminds me of welcome back cotter tv show of the 70s.People should care more about there city,you would never see this anyplace in all of north dakota since the state is the second fastest growing city next to florida.
