I legit learned so much from this! No wonder it still takes me an hour to get anywhere in Brooklyn. I had no idea it would be the fourth largest city if it was not part of NYC!
Food and Footprints SEX!!! So now that I’ve gotten your attention I want to tell you guys something. My name is Lianna and I’m 16 years old high school student. I’m from NY. I live in a city area where I see tons of homeless people. I sometimes when I have money I get food and give it some homeless people but then I see there’s so many staring and looking at me waiting for me give them food too and I never have enough money to feed all. I honestly feel bad. I tried making a fund me account but I only raised few hundred dollars on that and I fed homeless for a week after school and that’s about it. Someone told me I should try it through RU-vid and that’s what I’m doing now. I’m here to ask all of you for help. Every dollar counts. Please donate whatever you can and help me feed homeless. It’ll be really great if you can just even sent a $1. Like I said every penny or dollar accounts. My cashapp for this is $helpneeded1 . Please donate. Thank you soo much in advance.
@@Jenniferobrien 👸🏽 🧤 Hello Again from #Canada 🇨🇦 You claimed that the most inexpensive way to check out any place in New York City or its Boroughs was by ways of the Underground Subway System and Transit System... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J-74d3sY9rw.html Well, 🌞 #Sunshine: As a Citizen of Ontario 🍁 in the far Northern Region of 🇨🇦 #Canada Let me assure you that I've managed to find a much better and simpler way to travel many of the New York #StreetsOfBroadway Hopefully you won't mind that I Hop on the Lens of your #GoPro Camera and please allow me the comfort of viewing everything, everywhere through your eyes as 'YOU' casually stroll the many streets, alleys parks and waterways at your leisure. 🤗 #YouStandCorrected
Visited NYC for the first time this past May. Two days of work and two days of fun. Watched Jennifer’s vlogs and it helped a great deal on my planning of what to do for those two free days. Had an incredible time because i knew what to do, eat and see from Jennifer’s advice. Still watching Jennifer’s vlogs for I’ll be back in NYC again 😊 Mahalo(Thank You) Jennifer! 🇺🇸🗽😁
'Tip #77 Food and drinks come in large portions' That's one of the things that sticks out in my memory. I could not believe the large servings put in front of me! As a small to average size eater, I rarely finished meals in NYC. Most times I could only manage a third or half the plate before quitting. You'll surely never hungry in NYC.
Great info Jennifer ! The walking distances and nyer pet peeves are very well explained. It’s not that nyers are rude, but we are rushing from place a to b and every second counts. Love the change of scenery as you explain all this.
Great tips on accommodation as well and if I may add, there are a few hotels and Airbnb in Long Island city and Astoria (queens) and the commute is also about 20 min to the city.
Really appreciate it! The intro I redo at least 10 times I want it to be perfect but most of the other lines I got first try, I’m definitely improving every video I make! :)
Erick Cordeiro me too! I’ll be there the first and second week. It’s my bday trip to myself :) maybe we’ll bump into to each. After all, it is a small world. Haha Bom dia!
We have an Airbnb and sometimes link our guest to your videos if they have questions. Super helpful. 👍👍we did made a subway video way back but have to update it. We forget how people are really daunted by the city sometimes esp if it is their first time visitng. These tips are super helpful!😁👍happy summer in NYC!
@@Khalid6720 Hi there! So exciting that you are coming to NYC in 2020. Amazing videoooo. But- there’s beautiful beaches on Long Island. You don’t have to go all the way to the Hamptons. Long Beach/Jones beach are 45 mins away from the city.
your videos are very interesting. :-) thanks a lot. I'm planning my trip to NY and I watch them very often to get as much info as possible and your videos are full of great information. thanks a lot again :-)
Thanks for the video jennifer. Now I know which broadway show and which restaurants to take you. Now all I need is your phone number and when you are available to go out.
Hi Jennifer, you're a very smart young lady and pretty as well. I'll certainly follow your tips on my visit soon! Well done clip. Regards from Germany!
Surprised joes wasn’t on the list but if you haven’t gone you should try artichoke pizza. It’s actually really good. Also what I have learned is nyc is by far cheaper than dc.

Goin back on December with my kids aged 12& 18 it’s their first time ... your a better guide than the rest on here keep it up love from 🏴🏴is the riu plaza any good 🏴
Wow! I never knew that about Howston Street! But the overpriced thing, I've seen stuff costing more here in the Poconos than in NYC (besides Times Square). And the nastiness? Most of the people in NY are nicer than the New Yorkers who moved here! But yeah, I always try to find cheaper spots than the norm. Anything about the Metro Card replacement? I thought that was beginning roll out in May.
Oh wow more expensive and rude there!? Yes I need to do a new video about the new cards for the subway, it's started rolling out but I think most everyone is still just using the swipe MetroCards, it's interesting, need to make a video about it!
@@Jenniferobrien yeah, saw a $7 taco that was small the other day, vs Los Numero Uno taco being $3 and bigger. And yeah, nicer. That's the stereotype, that I think you addressed in a video that it was overblown. 😁 It even affected my view, so I've been surprised at times by New Yorkers being nice in the street. But yeah, it happens. I think out here it turns to someone having to be the most "New York" they can.
They use the same system here. Lights on a taxi means it's empty, but no light and it is taken. Except the Taxi drivers here don't give two f**ks. A light could be on if the taxi is full, and Visa Versa.
Jen, you are the ultimate NYC guide! So much helpful information and so well presented. Your dress and jewelry are beautiful. Great video. Thanks for posting. Keep these great videos coming.
Lovely informative video, well done Jen keep it up x I am coming with my wife for 5 days tour to NYC next year, could you please let me know the Metropass price for 5 days...and also can I use this metropass travel to Statue of Liberty? and all 5 boroughs?
Hello Jennifer! You video are beautiful! Nice work! Though I would like to say one thing. Lately I noticed there isn't a single good video explaining the perplexing Subway of NYC. So I was hoping you could do a video about it in simple and sweet form explaining the notation and working of it.
If there is a service charge on your receipt, that is technically a tip and then it isn’t required for u to tip. That’s what another “nyc tips” video told me, anyway. Other than that, you should tip atleast 15%. You can just multiply your total before the tip times 15 or 20(or more if you really liked the service and want to tip a lot) on your phone, and then move the decimal twice to the left, and that would be your tip. I hope that wasn’t confusing💛
Yes it took so much planning and organization and technically I tried once before this in the winter but had to reshoot cause we only got to 50 but it was too cold and we had audio issues this version is way better!
@@Jenniferobrien Photography and to a lesser extend cinematography are my main hobbies now. I always like to let people know their hard work and extra mile is noticed.
Yes Prince Street Pizza! We're on a first name basis LOL jk! Yes I say about 2.75 because they are constantly raising it so once they do "about" will still be accurate :)
Haha seriously it took so much planning and organization and technically I had to fully reshoot because I originally filmed this in the winter but the audio was bad I looked freezing and this version is so much better!!!! Thanks for watching!
It's amazing. Great video. I'm in love with your City and watching your video brings me good memories. Could you make a video about Chelsea Market with tips on places to eat with too much or too little money?
Oh yes I love Chelsea Market I just ate there yesterday and a day before that lol I love it that much and there’s some awesome history! High Line guide coming soon and then after that I’ll have to film a Chelsea Market specific guide!
Wow Jennifer you are looking very nice beautiful in that black dress as well as your hair body makeup nailpolish eyelashes lipstick skin eyes smile are quite pretty amazing and fantastic disscussion of NYC Local Travel Tips video well done 😊😊❤️❤️
# 38 is not that big of a deal just take the train uptown or downtown to the next transfer point it’s still fasters then waiting 18 min to re enter the subway

Nikita, I've lived in apartments in Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan (3 different apartments in Manhattan) and have yet to see a cockroach (67 years). Hope that helps. Cheers.
New Yorkers don't wear flip flops in public Broadway is the the only street that runs the length of Manhattan Manhattan has no North and South adressess The Upper West Side is a much better place to stay than the tourist trap that is Times Square Taxis are to be avoided Taxis charge by the ride and not by the number of passengers The yellow stripe on the edge of the subway platform is there for a reason ; please don't find out what the reason is Good hotels are a great source of public restrooms ...assuming that you aren't dressed like one of life's losers NYC is properly called the city that never sleeps ; it wakes up early and goes to sleep late Take advantage of that by doing the things that can only be done before 5:00 PM before 5:00 PM Then going back to your hotel , taking a nap until 7:00 -8:00 PM and then going out to play with the night
