I worked 12 hour shifts for 11 years. It does get better. I enjoyed night shift more. You will find that daily balance that will make it work, just give it time. When I had my son, I worked every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to be mom through the week. If you are allowed to make your own scheduled most of my co-workers worked every Monday, Wednesday or Thursday with rotation every other weekend.

Clumping night shift days are soooo important! I love nights too! I find it easier to switch back to day mode when I work my nights consecutively.

Love watching your videos! I am currently about to be listed for an isolated small intestinal transplant/potentially a multi visceral transplant so I totally understand what you’re dealing with and I just can’t even imagine the little kiddos going through any of this like I do.. so thank you so much for what you’re doing. I can tell you are already and incredible nurse and trust me, the nurse makes the world of a difference for us as patients so thank you for doing what you’re doing and keep pushing because you are truly making such a difference for these little patients’ lives💜

FYI Jews observe Shabbat, or Sabbath, every Friday sundown to Saturday after sunset. Wouldn’t necessarily call it a “holiday” but a sacred day where one rests (i.e. on the 7th day god rested). For Christians Sabbath is on Sundays but for Jews it’s Saturday.

The most important thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government.
