Traveling is embedded into our relationship as we met on a Spring Break cruise in 2016. Since then, we haven't stopped traveling together in the United States and abroad. We left New York in July 2019 to travel the world and we took work with us, including starting a travel vlog. We have made it our mission to slow travel for 16 months throughout South America and Asia and to create travel videos along the way.
Due to the pandemic, we changed course and bought a van to convert into a campervan to travel to all 50 National Parks in the lower 48 states (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). The roadtrip is now over, and we are moving on to a new adventure: living in the best city in the world, New York City! We got an apartment on the upper east side of Manhattan and we are thrilled to explore our own backyard and bring you guys along with us. We are Brandon and Erin, follow the journey and stay tuned.

Pizza in Manhattan is mostly MID. If you want great pizza you have to go to the suburbs.

Great specialty slices - and stays open late which you can't say for a lot of the pizza places on the upper east!

really, famous famiglia, an airport chain was your favorite on the ues?? hard to fathom with all the great pizza in nyc but whatever floats your boat…

It's funny to look back on this, because now Delizia is by far our favorite spot having lived here longer. The test is a little flawed because when you're testing with just one slice, it all depends on how fresh the slice is. The best test is to get a fresh pie at each spot, but there's no way we could have downed 6 pizzas ourselves. I guess Famous Famiglia was having a good day...

I'm not familiar with the Upper East Side pizza scene, so thanks for the tour. To me the best slice in Manhattan is Joe's on Carmine Street. They also have a location near Times Square. The best pie in Manhattan is John's on Bleecker Street. I also love Lombardi's on Spring Street and Patsy's on the Upper West Side. For a unique pizza, try the Old Fashioned pie at Adrienne's on Stone Street. It's a Grandma style pizza that I really like. I love that your pizza tour focused on plain slices. I'm a minimalist when it comes to pizza. Now on to Brooklyn.....

I will have to add Joe's, John's, Patsy's and Adrienne's to our list of places to try! We have been to Lombardi's and it lives up to the hype. Plain slices is the best way to judge pizza - we are minimalist as well. Yes, if we venture into Brooklyn Roberta's will definitely be on the list... one of our favorite spots.

@@travelingatlas I haven't been to Roberta's in Brooklyn, but I did try their pizza at a Manhattan location, and LOVED it. My favorite Brooklyn pizza is Totonno's (Coney Island), Julianna's (which kept the original Grimaldi's oven when Grimaldi's moved next door), Grimaldi's and DiFara. I think Totonno's and Di Fara are my favorite NYC pizza places. Next time I'm in Brooklyn I want to try Lucali and L&B Spumoni Gardens.

Setting aside the cost would the pizzas still finished in the same order?

They were all about the same price except for PQR which was way more expensive, so I think so. We also were thinking that if we switched the order we went to them, would we like one better when we were hungrier rather than more full? Definitely not a perfect system, we are workshopping it 🤣

So.. I had to pause the video to go make myself some pizza. I don't think it was as good as yours, but I live in a farming area, not close to a pizzeria. Please don't do a cheese cake tour, or I'll need to be baking!

Everytime we have watched it ourselves we get so hungry! Cheese cake tour... That sounds amazing and also a great way to gain 10 lbs!
