Breaks my heart that people want to destroy pieces of history like this. Thanks for all you do, Josh, and showing us how to act properly in places like these.
Our western society should take lessons from preserving historical architecture like Italians do. It’s a beautiful gift to have for generations to learn and experience.
Idk looks like a lot of shelter I could build a hidden fort, work n still live in nyc n save up. Take the switch there to keep busy. N when find a place to afford until move in rig some wiring to running electric and tap into it to run a tv. A gym membership for showers.
I usually hate graffiti in abandoned places but a lot of the stuff there looks really good. The state should repurpose that building maybe convert it into a homeless shelter or apartments.
ive been to multiple different psychiatric wards, the reason why each floor is different is because different groups of patients are more "at-risk" than others, or have different specialty treatment plans, or the duration of their stay may be longer or shorter. the crisis unit is very short term so its meant to be lively to bring someone out of a depressive state, and some wards have more amenities because they're meant for patients who will be there longer
I wonder if the computer in that room still had the hard drive of the security camera footage on it. 20:46 That would have been amazing to see, everything that went on when it was still a functioning psych hospital!
I used to work for BPC in 2019 and stayed for 3 years at 1500 Waters Place which is the Adult Building. I’ve always heard about this abandoned building and actually walked past it many times on my lunch break. I’m shocked that it’s even been vandalized since they have security driving around constantly. Anywho- the older people who used to work in this abandoned building always told me some stories and I’m glad to finally see how it look thanks to you! In the new building, it’s smaller of course and sucks that this part of the building is not open anymore because there is an high amount of patients that would come in and need help. This building would’ve been so helpful! It really sucks how this city runs. We need larger hospitals like this to help out mental crisis! It’s always something with money! Should raise a Go Fund Me for places like this seriously!!!!!
I was an employee in bronx physicyatric center 15 years and bronx children my supervisor passed away couple of co workers too. I missed i lot of friends. In that facility.
Whatever was shaking on your camera was driving me nuts! Sick video man! I hate that people feel the need to DESTROY whatever they don’t own. It’s very disrespectful and immature. Unreal 😒
I appreciate your videos especially the fact that I can explore without leaving my home. I live near Letchworth Village in upstate NY. Supposedly holds a lot of good and bad history. The building’s are mostly abandoned and it’s so sad to see how people have gone in to vandalize them. Some of these buildings are haunted so when I walk the grounds I don’t go inside. Lol I’m also happy to see that people in these places took mental health seriously but I do wonder what happened to all of those people when the place closed down. Thank you again for showing us these huge, unfortunately, abandoned places.
I'm so happy that you are enjoying exploring, I love watching your videos. I'm not keen on the ghost hunt ones as the attachment is all too real so it's a relief to watch you explore! Have the best time!
Back with another abandoned vid let’s get it Josh !!!!! Just finished the vid man it was great keep it up u should do more with the proper people fr it’s great 👍🏻
Finally someone came to the Bronx to do some haunted n abandoned exploring, been asking for your fellow RU-vidr buddies to do some exploring over here in the Bronx nyc , hope to see u explore more n do some paranormal out here
Welcome to our OLD Neighborhood, I wish we new you were coming, we would have atleast got u the Best Pizza.. We used to play little league in those ball fields..40 Years ago..lol I also knew a few amazing people that lived there, One guy could name a Day of the week for any date/Year... You could say June 3 1790 BC, 1 second He'd be like Tuesday ..and he was right.. BUT.. He could not figure out change of a dollar, If you said 95 cents, you give a dollar how much change is there? He would not know.. Amazing ..how complex the brain is..
It really makes me sad that someone would want to come in there just to destroy it 😢. I love to go into abandoned places, but just to explore and look around, i would never do anything bad to a place. I also love you guys and love the dignity and respect that you show to the places you visit ❤
4:20 "get there while its good, rush there" so true, missed out on the North Truro barracks and personel homes, and a WWII airbase farther north in MA (the one with the Zepplin landing pad; go in the fall or winter if u wanna see through the shrubs)
Hello from Michigan. Did the vandals ever get caught? Did they get in trouble with the current owners? I can't stand when other people destroy things that's not theirs. Nice videos. Keep up the good work. Be safe.
Hi Josh! Love you videos so I subscribed. FYI, when paint chips it’s a mixture of moisture, sun, and also led paint. The way to tell if it’s led paint is if it chips and crackles!
Your "canon lamp" is a spot light for the stage. Usually there's a small room in the back of the theater above the back seats where Spots like this would be. If it's an arc-source lamp (which it looks like) it would get very hot and the fan was needed to keep it from over heating. (Drama geek here, ex-spot light tech).
Ronald Reagan, defunded mental health in the early 1980s, he never understood what mental health was and he contribute that also with the homelessness, that’s when you started seeing all these things happen, I don’t know what to say man but another great video like always
I saw a more recent video from June 2024, the whole theater and the lobby area where the painting of that mother and child was is fully covered in graffiti now, all the walls everything, it’s gotten much much worse, and that was not even a few months ago👀
Hi Josh! I don't understand why people destroy things and don't recover them to make new ones. Sometimes I think we are worse than the Demogorgon. This location looks like it's from the Stranger Things series. A big hug from Spain!
3:24 not even 10 minutes in the video and makes me sad seeing how people would destroy such a place. Especially those basketball rings that are all broken and the gym machines. Someone could have reused the stuff but decided to destroy it anyway. I love how josh is always respectful and would never do this.❤
Josh, really enjoyed your video! Love places like this and they're my favorites! I wish I could travel and explore places like this! Thank you for taking me along with you on your explore! Can't wait till your next video.
how is a DVD like that legal for 1 and for 2 why is it allowed in a mental health facility? are they working on improving ppl or keeping them sick for profit??
my niece was in a state hospital for a few years. i never visited her but wrote her to tell her she is loved because her parents were crazy and mistreated her so much!!
