When Carlos of NADAS Empanadas started selling his colorful, Colombian-style empanadas around the Tri-State area, he had no idea COVID-19 was about to change everything. Now, he’s using the popularity of his empanadas to help those in need, like teaming up with his church to feed the food insecure and bringing meals to essential workers on the front lines.

@@tigerlb28 I love when people do not become economic slaves to government welfare. It helps prevent the hyperinflation and economic collapse that we are currently going through as I type this. I didn't receive the printed dollars in 2020-21 and I'll never need them. Self employed Owner operator OTR driver, and own a self sufficient farm in Texas. City dwellers need to realize their unnatural environment is not sustainable. All empires fall because of the net drain that their urbanized populations inflict on the natural resources and economy.

Y'all are my favorite yr channel. I get to see the world of small business n amazing food and fantastic people behind them. Good people still exist. Literally was thinking to start and empanada restaurant here in north/ South Carolina due to not many people other then Hispanic knowing about this delicious simple pocket of goodness ! My first time trying empanadas was in nyc and to see this video has inspires me to get started and get the ball rolling

Chevy named a car the Nova, a historic example of misunderstanding as it means “does not go” in Spanish. Nadas was not the best name choice IMO, even if it’s a contracture of “to be breaded,” “nada” is one word Americans know. That said, they look far from “nothing,” they look great, it’s nice to see them making their own dough instead of using bought skins, & wish them luck, they sure are working hard!
