Me,too. I also was grown up by grandma when I was a child. She will be very proud of you grew up so well. Your grandma reminds me of my grandma so I got both emotion happy and missing.. I miss her so much.

Me 2, just this year I went back China from abroad and videoed wiz my grandma , found that her teeth gone several pieces, I didn’t go home for nearly 3 yrs,she really turned old. I felt sad immediately…

Same here, my grandma is in China and I haven't seen her for 3.5 years; she has cancer and Alzheimer's and I'm really afraid of losing her everyday... Just 12 years ago I was traveling with her through Europe, and now she is so frail... I just booked a holiday to where we've been together 12 years ago, hoping to restore some of the bittersweet memories

The part with your grandma is so wholesome, when she was stroking your head... It was hard for me, because even if my grandma is alive, she doesn't remember us anymore, and it's heartbreaking seeing her like that. She was so full of life and character and now is just...there. Even if it has nothing to do with me, it made me happy seeing you taking care of her like that and enjoying a few days with her :)

This is honestly your best vlog yet. All the frames that transitioned in to each other in the beginning (seeing the bag being dropped of, seeing the transportation of the bag to the plane, the zoom in of the plane’s windows, being inside the plane) and also the wholesome segment with your grandma. this vlog was everything. being an immigrant and away from the family that you grew up with is so hard. last time i was able to visit Nicaragua was 2014, and have been in the US since 2010. On my last trip there i spent it truly getting to know my grandma and spending time with her, i found this trip to be a blessing in disguise for little did i know those times would become so precious. 2 years ago she was diagnosed with a bad and rapid case of dementia and alzheimer’s, so she no longer remembers me when we video chat. Before even watching this video, last night i was reminiscing of when we used to end our video calls, how she told me how proud she was of me, how much she loves me, and to keep on studying hard. Sometimes it’s so hard to remember her voice, as she no longer talks. This video touched a special place in my heart. i know too how bittersweet those moments feel. 🤍

This vlog made me emotional. I also live far from my hometown and my grandma, she has Alzheimer and for this reason she is currently in a structure away from my home. Due to Covid and these years, I haven’t seen her for 3 years but I think of her everyday. I’m glad you were able to spend time with her and with your friends, sometimes just one day with the people we love can make a huge difference on our well beings. i never comment on youtube videos but the part where you took care of your grandma and when she was fixing your hair and you shed a tear, i immediately burst into tears. i got such an immense closure from that one moment as it made me think of my grandma and how she always takes care of me and how for her all that matters is to spend time with me...it just hit home. cherishing those little eternal moments is all that matters.
