It wasn't just a radiator hose that blew off. It blew off because the cooling system pressurized prob due to sleeve or head gasket failure caused by too much boost for the setup or detonation. Radiator hoses don't just blow off like that for no reason. Learn a little bit more about how things work and problems that come up at this much power so yeah the motor was hurt reguardless. Hopefully for them just headgasket failure from head lift.
880Hp is 880Hp - it doesn't matter what car it's in - if you can make the power - theres a way to get it to the ground and use it - no matter what platform - fwd, rwd, awd, whatever.
Impressive numbers for such tiny little pumps. Only problem is that 880WHP is probably only good for high 9's or low 10's in those cars. Still enough to embarass 90% of the muscle car crowd running around on the street.
@swishafantasy you could shit with out a clutch but not at WOT.. the gears won't go in.. i shift with out the clutch all the time, the gears will only go in at an specific RPM and MPH after you get the trick you could do all of them, it just don't work racing.
great accomplishment, congrats. as for hondas being king... 880 whp has been done, and lets not forget fwd sucks. A stalled Rwd with half the power would give either car a run for their money 1/4 mile.

Why run a car totally striped w/o the front fender if you're not going to be driving it like that in the street? Isn't that cheating yourselves in getting an accurate hp reading?
