Our Head of Talent, Anthony Ramos speaks with Nyle DiMarco & Renate Rose about their Netflix reality series "Deaf U" which follows a group of deaf and hearing impaired college students as they navigate their love life and beyond. DiMarco who serves as an Executive Producer on the series talks about what it would have meant to him to have a show like this on television when he was growing up. If this were an interpreter-off, lets be honest, Grey would win. Solid work. Really interesting interview, and amazing that they could pull this together on Zoom despite technical difficulties. Always good to hear more perspectives, thank you.

I wish I was able to learn more ASL at a younger age so I can be more fluent and possibly build interesting and new relationships with people of the deaf community. I did take a few intro classes in college and two advanced classes. A lot of what I know is self taught as well but it has not developed into a fluid conversing style. I am inspired to learn more ASL from this show and I am from the hearing world!
