16:01 for people who are confused about this Absalon is technically from a continue timeline of the Dragon Ball, GT anime. When baby use the black star dragon balls again Earth was blown up because they were used again. Goku was able to get everyone out of a planet earth, except piccolo, out who decided to stay there, to sacrifice himself to make the black star dragon balls, turned to stone to never be used again. But it was also we’re piccolo say goodbye to gohan and gohan saw the planet, blow up along with piccolo. So this is what Absalon meant about not wanting to lose another one.

Yes and No remember in Dragon Ball Absalon, there were two Gohan Future Gohan (Absalon is based on.) and Present Gohan. So, my guess, Absalon's trauma stems from him not wanting to lose another Piccolo like he lost his to the Androids.
