It takes months or years to even build up cases like this and make surer they got something on the members. Otherwise they will just go back out after a few nights or months and commit crimes which is a worst of resources
I hope this is a beginning of some real change cause I'm really sick of the stupid violence in my amazing city. These young ppl have to step up to better levels.
@@justinreyes4399 what did you read? I didn't see anyone making excuses for these kids. Stricter consequences are needed & everyone here is on the same page.

It’s not about arrests, it’s about once they’re arrested keeping them in jail! Let’s see if the prosecutor does the right thing and keeps them in jail!
you don’t have the right to determine if someone’s life gets to be locked away forever. These are misguided children. Be the adult that you are and understand that. They don’t need to rot away in prison. They need to be punished for sure, but with due help via mental aid. When you’re raised around violence that is all you know; you can not blame these children for this. You can blame them for their specific acts, but it is wrong to send them to prison for life without parole just because you deem them unfit for society.
They need to be executed. We need to pass a federal law that if your in a gang everyone in that gang gets charged with any murder committed by the gang, and it's an automatic execution for everyone arrested in affiliation. We're took weak on violent crime, but have really strict laws for drug users that put you behind bars for decades when they're only hiring themselves.
@@GassedUpCam_ I totally disagree. These "children" are murders. I blame them and their parents. Sounds harsh but it's like a never-ending cycle. When these "children" have kids, they too will most likely grow up around violence and become gang bangers and so on and so on.

Thank you! That is a good question. The real hard working ppl can't get it, because these lazy ppl refuse to get off it. It's should be a stepping stone, 5yrs max, that's more then enough time to get your life together, and move on.
I was a police officer 27 years and this is a lesson I learned long ago...it is human nature to see how far people (criminals) can go and get away with...the more they get away with, the more brazen and aggressive they become...need an example ? sure here it is...when you let a shoplifter take something from a vendor and do nothing to stop him, do you really think he won't do it again and again and again ? Why should they stop ? Free stuff and everybody appreciates free stuff...but if you crush a thief's hand with a hammer (draconian I know, but effective) you know he will really think hard about doing it again...just saying
Thank you NYPD for keeping NYC residents safe with this arrests. Now the DA's should, must, need to and have to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. As a mother it's heartbreaking to hear how heartless these teenagers are being reckless without remorse. We need to do better as parents by monitoring our children
I agree with you 100% however must remember that some of them are probably from single parent homes whom are probably working a couple jobs trying to make ends meet. But I'm not going to defend anyone because no matter what you should know where your kids at, who they with, etc. Growing up there was a couple gangs in my hometown & they were trouble now the one has been clean etc for about 15-20 yrs and is now a pastor trying to help find activities for youth where there really isn't any unless you drive into another large city like Youngstown,OH or elsewhere. Y-town & surrounding areas aren't that great either. They need to do this in the south - Atlanta area and let's not forget Detroit & Chicago too. There are too many gangs/members and for every 5 that's been thrown in jail I'm sure there's 1-2 being initiated into one. sad.
People are heartless because America is heartless and it will forever be this way y'all will never be safe and that's not something I want but the history says so
The entire police in the nation do this daily basis and we all live peacefully and without a fear. I lost almost 5 people I know in the last 6 month and we dont even know who took their life. 😥

SUCH AWESOME NEWS POLICE OFFICERS TAKING OUR NEW YORK CITY STREETS BACK FROM THESE CRIMINALS THANK YOU ALL FOR SERVING BRAVO BRAVO NYPD..ENOUGH IS ENOUGH BE SAFE OFFICERS..GOD BLESS YOU ALL
Truthfully if NYC wants to stop gang violence start charging them with rico charges. That level of charges, accountability will stop the violence it did with the mafia in the 80’s 90’s.

@J. Pa I agree wholeheartedly, a legally armed population is a respectful one. However, the NYC law makers want the citizens just to be prey and victims. We do have a hope with the Supreme Court case from 2021 NY Rifle & Pistol Association v Bruen.
Good job NYPD and good job Police Chief. Clean the city this year 2022, all those young thugs have to learn something out of this. Crime will only send you to prison.
They like it in the Prison..They go in and bully the weaker inmate and bump him in his azz. They love it in the Prison. Then they come out and hurt someone else go back to Prison where they feel at home..
They are products of their environment, they have no choice, you don’t see people in Beverly Hills doing this because they weren’t born in a bad environment, they grew up poor around guns and around people wanting to kill them.

As a black American, I appreciate this type of work. It’s time for a change, I’m tired of the senseless killing that young/old people in these neighborhoods keep going through. They need a help in every regards, but also are aware of the damage and pain they put people through by murdering bystanders and “rival” gang members. It’s not safe to be living in a community that all their parents pay for. These kids who go through this lifestyle need help, a way of life. Being in a gang isn’t the way of life as black American.
Bro it’s obviously the rap music. Specifically “murder rap” people talk about killing way too much these days, and are dancing too it … The Rap “lifestyle” has ruined our young men. Too much competition 🤷🏽♂️

This is great police work! It means nothing to our society, if, we have Judges and Juries that let these violent criminals return to our streets on probation and little or no prison time serve for the crimes they have committed. They need to be trial as adults and give harass sentences for these gun related crimes and drug charges that is contributing to other crimes both minor and major.
These criminal enterprises with these youth at the helms needs to be dismantled as these characters possess a mindset of harming and intimidation using weapons at their disposals.
That just sounds asinine. I agree this is a publicity stunt but the detectives are not going to put their selves out there and violate these idiots rights just to have them released. According to this information , this is a two year investigation. This means that warrants were signed to apprehend these individuals ( idiots).
@@xandersmith6619 ...I’ve talked to 2 detectives here in LA about this very topic. They said to me, they absolutely will continue to take people down only to have the DA here (Gascon) release them... why? The overtime. A detective with the LASD said he hates Gascon but is loving the overtime. They will arrest the same person 8 different times in a month for 8 different crimes. The Ovetime pay they are getting is insane... so they will continue to do it even though they know these guys will be out committing crimes again within hours.
