Hello New York State Geometry students! I hope you are learning and enjoying this regents review video to assist you in preparation for the regents exam.

Wow, you're an incredible teacher! I wish I could have found your videos sooner considering I've been homeschooled most of this year due to medical problems. Big thank you, two of these questions I did not learn, nor remember learning, gets really frustrating when you are good at math, and sit there not being able to solve a problem. Omg I love u so much my teacher literally thought I didn't get geometry and I just couldn't really get her teaching strategies but I love how much u helped me I passed with just multiple and I didn't even get part 2 results yet thank u u are a blessing.God bless you😗😗😗😗did way more than my teacher for me.My teacher gave me doubt but u helped a lot.

I always do exams the week after they come out in a form of a “rapid review”. Those videos are intended to be quick to check your answers. I then do 3 separate videos for explanation

Im kind of confused with 21. My teacher told me to add the same side interior angles and set them equal to 180 if I see a quadrilateral. For instance,

Hi for 24 I understand what you did to get the answer but shouldn't the arcs be equal bec they are both part of the same central angle? Don't know if that makes sense but say angle FOE is 40 degrees that means angle DOC is also 40 degrees which would make both there arcs equal to 40 no?

This is an excellent question! I'm glad you brought this common misconception to discussion. You are confusing the terms "arc length" and "degree measure of an arc". These two terms are incredibly different and mean two completely different things. It is TRUE that the measures of arcs CD and EF are in fact equal to each other. However, their lengths are different. Here's how. We use a formula to calculate the length of a sector -- the formula is s=r*O, where s is the sector length, r is the radius, and O is theta, which is measured in radians. Since the radius of the two circles are different. but with the same central angle measure, the lengths of the sectors must be different. I hope this clarifies everything. :)

for #16, what if the measure of AB was congruent to AM and BM? How do you know that it is not congruent to those?

Because we don’t know for sure that AB is the same length as the radius. All we know is that it’s a chord...

You are seriously telling me #17, that RS is not = to XY because of... what? they are parallel, therefore the 2 > must be congruent, therefore AAA=AAA (because the right angles make the perp lines bend at the same angle so the triangles would be =.

We can’t prove them to be congruent because we do not have any information about the side lengths. AAA is NOT a way to prove triangles congruent
