Perfect Connections! I got it too, starting with purple of course. Great Mini. You beat me by 6 seconds. Fun Strands. LOL, you found a completely unrelated random splashy event. I mistraced MUSIC too but that was my only misclick and easily backtracked before committing. No other mistakes.
Strands was way easy for me today, as soon as I saw “Splashy Event” I thought “Pool Party” for the spanagram and just went around the outer edge of the puzzle looking for a “P” for the starting point. Not a guarantee, I know, the spanagram could easily start inside and just first touch the edge with the 2nd or 3rd letter, but if you got a good idea what the spanagram might be, it’s a good way to start looking.
I noticed the diving techniques but I got a little confused so I went for the green first. Then I found anchor and pillar because I know they go with backbone so the only one left I gambled was cornerstone. That made it easier to do the diving and the last one I didn't know it was radio but oh well. Free win.

My Connections shows I have played it for 54 days which is odd because I have never missed a day. Also in the mini we did have the same clue before and I made the same mistake as before, though I don't look at it as a mistake. Are too is correct. I have never heard anyone say are so.
