im so glad you mentioned the introvert/invisibility thing, thats something i really like about nyu. you can have a great social life but at the same time you will not be bothered by anyone.
@@frankchen4229 I see what you mean but if you have the money the. Hi don’t limit yourself to a community college if you don’t get a s cm olarship that’s unrealistic
Hello! Thank you so much for making this video! I am planning to apply to NYU for grad school to get my masters in secondary education in like two years from now after I graduate from my current institution!
Hey girl! My name is Dayton and I was just accepted in to SPS for their bs in communication and digital media program! I’m an out of state student and REALLY overwhelmed because I never thought I could get in because I’m such a non-traditional student, but it turns out SPS was actually perfect for my situation lol. Could you give me some advice on how your transfer experience went? I received my acceptance but I’m still unable to see my transfer credit report or anything like that and not really sure who to ask.... being acrossed the state also makes things a little difficult lol. Would you say SPS is worth it in your opinion compared to going to your state school? Thank you so much for any information!
Hi Dayton!! Congrats on your acceptance!! That is so exciting🎉 I am actually not a transfer student to SPS nor NYU. I started at SPS as a freshmen. However, for any information about transfer credit, I would email your academic advisor at SPS :)
Hey have u heard good things about the real estate program at SPS? and also do u know the stats u need? I tried to search online but there isn’t that much info :(
Hi!! Yes, I have heard amazing thing about the real estate program. It is ranked very high nationally and my friends really seem to enjoy it. I am not sure about the stats, but I believe it is pretty consistent with the rest of NYU. I hope that helps :)
hi! i wanted to ask about the clubs at NYU - im into the arts, like acapella and forming my own bands etc but i searched on the nyu clubs page and there doesnt seem to be any? :( but then upon searching online theres like links and stuff but it all seems really outdated and the links dont work anymore HAHA does the list just not show all the clubs available or how does this all work? thank you so much in advance! :)
Hi!! So NYU has tons of clubs and you can always apply to start your own! I know for sure that we have multiple acapella clubs on campus, I am not positive about bands. We recently just switched our systems this summer at NYU so I think not everything is fully updated yet. There will be a club fair during welcome orientation where you will be able to go and meet with any and all clubs you want :)
Hi! SPS is amazing! It is the same application process as the rest of the NYU schools :) If you have any specific questions about it feel free to message me on my insta! @Sabrina_urban00
I am international student, is it true that going to NYU Abu Dhabi - an abroad academic year is completely free because the Emirates government finances that campus? I would like to save an academic year at least because NYU is insanely expensive. I have just been accepted to NYU - NYC campus. thank you so much for ur videos. :)
Congrats on being accepted!!! As far as I know from my friends at the Abu Dhabi campus, it is free. I believe it is for everyone, but honestly I am not completely sure since I am not very familiar with that campus.
I saw that SPS offers BS and a DAUS. Is the DAUS a separate program on its own and have separate majors or are they the same (i.e. do you take the same classes? Are people taking DAUS the same age? Is it the same diploma?)
DAUS is another section under SPS that offers BA & BS, but is for returning, transfer, adult, and other students who may have delayed starting college or look to complete their degree. They offer 10 different majors such as Humanities and Marketing Analytics. They have different classes and the age range differs based on how long they delayed their college start. If you want to read more there is a bunch of info on this site too: www.sps.nyu.edu/homepage/academics/divisions-and-departments/division-of-applied-undergraduate-studies.html#Bachelors1
My daughter was just admitted to SPS for Hotel and Tourism Management (B.S)! Your videos are really helpful because there is so little info out about SPS. Is SPS really considered on par with the other NYU schools? Do you take the same liberal arts core classes as students at the other schools? Are the core classes through CAS? Are SPS students successful at getting hotel internships and jobs? Thank you so much!
Yay, congrats to her!! I also have another video directly dedicated to hotel & tourism management here that might better help with your questions: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XYMvMzht9o8.html Yes, I would definitely say SPS is considered equal with all other NYU schools (if not better haha) I truly love it. I believe most of our core classes are the same, but I am not too familiar with their requirements. The core classes can be taken through CAS or directly through SPS. SPS students are definitely successful at getting internships as we have are own career center as well. Hope this helps :)
SPS is the School of Professional Studies. The difference is the majors that we have. For undergrads there are 3: Hotel and Tourism Management, Sports Management, and Real Estate! Also, the SPS community is just amazing!
