These guys are insane. Puts American football to shame.

I don't know why everyone feels the need to turn every good rugby video into a war between America and everyone else on the planet. This is a good video, enjoy it for what it is, don't use it as a catalyst for a pointless argument over the internet.

@rusty98913 OK, another question- would an NFL player last 80 minutes?? OR would a rugby player such as sonny bill have the guts to play a game of NFL and if so could he last the 40second break and the seven minute stoppages?
@dito0418

biggest and heavier scrumhalf ever!
@Reformed1-e1c
@Reformed1-e1c 2 года назад
There were heavier halfbacks in his time. Piri Weepu, Nela Moa, one of the South African halfbacks. It was insane. They had skills and rugby IQ like Aaron smith and aggression of a forward. Aaron Smith stood out because of his game management and quick ball of the deck.

@91gt306 I think it's the constant argument of which sport is best mate. I've played all three (predominently R.L) and can safely say they are all hard in there own way. In union I've played scrum half, centre and recently openside flanker...in league hooker and recently 2nd row and only running back in american football. I enjoyed all three. Each sport needs its own requirements. Just play what you like.

he reminds me of lance hohaia. they both use to be so tiny and then just out of nowhere they both got massive.

@DerrenBrown100 I agree.there is so much to say about Rugby. it so much tougher.the player is completely exposed and has a compact body . Player must have a strong mind and play for his team.there is no such thing as one big star. the fact the the ball is passed only backwards is something unique.someone has to be behind .it means that someone is going to be covering you.players are much stronger and have stronger necks and can play 80 minutes almost without any rest.they are really supermen !
@FlyingHellFish99

@DerrenBrown100 well NFL is mainly interesting because of complex passing patterns and run routes not defence.. and im irish. ive come to like NFL, albeit not as much as rugby.

Do This: 66 + (13.7 X bodyweight in kg)+(5 X height in cm)-(6.8 X age in years) Take that number and multiply it by.. Activity Multiplier Sedentary = BMR X 1.2(little to no exercise) Lightly Active = BMR X 1.375(light exercise: 1-3 days a week) Moderately Active = BMR X 1.55 (moderate exercise: 3-5 days a week) Very active = BMR X 1.725(daily exercise) Extremely Active = BMR X 1.9 (intense daily exercise) Take that number and add 300-500 to it in order to determine daily caloric intake.

Ricky1...see the other comment ive posted in regards to eating a higher caloric daily amount. (Do this formula), then Increase your daily caloric amount by approx 400-500 cals a day in order to gain the weight you want (remember to eat Clean...healthy). For every increase of 3500cals it would approx equal 2.25kg (1 lb). Add weight slowly over time, and it will stay on. If you find it hard to gain weight, it'd mean you have a high metabolism. Good Things Take Time. Good Luck

If af players had to be as conditioned as rugby players and had to run contstantly, they wouldn't be nearly as big or strong. If rugby players concentrated more on lifting and gaining weight, they would become bigger and stronger too. And I like both football and rugby.

Uhm not everywhere here you've got a European American Football league which is pretty populair here esp. in The Netherlands and you still can't compare the two American Football has much more support, bigger games, more money, nicer fields, waaaay higher salaries, way more merchandise and you can go on and on and on. rugby is just a tiny sport that has not mutch support who cares?
@sameold12
@sameold12 14 лет назад
@rusty98913 He owns the Sydney Roosters as you know. He was on David Letterman last year with Patton Manning- Patton said you are mad Bastards for not wearing pads etc, and he would never play the game. I noticed you also didnt answer my last questions I didnt say if sunny bill could last a training schedule I asked if he COULD last and NFL match with there stoppages etc. Wide receivers IS a NO sorry, there training is simply not set to last 80 minutes NONE stop.
@HillsideFights

@spartan4745 oh yeah what team and whats your name, you will be on the internet somewhere if you did. and of course if rugby caught on in the states it might be big it would take 25 years to do so. nfl players arent tougher then rugby players, they arent bigger, (just fatter) they arent fitter and they arent stronger or faster. they are in no way as high quality athletes as these guys

Geez enough with the arguement between football and rugby!!! They are 2 totally different sports!!! And yes football players wear pads and helmets but its not like you dont feel anything when u get hit!!! And also the helmets and pads with the speed and size of the nfl players become like weapons!!! But also rugby is a much more stamina driven and mentally tough game!!! They are 2 different games so stop comparing them!!! They are both great in their own way !!!

@Epimpin101 New Zealand are the best best rugby team in the world because they live the sport, I would also have to say that being able to compete at the to level with a population of 5 million is no way an embarasment, its more of a tribute to the quality of the players and training, you compare this to america, and the international sports you compete in, athletics I will admit that your nation is very good at, but with the amount of investment it recieves it would be hard not to.
@Epimpin101

I wonder whats this obsession with you guys have with nfl or americans? Even in the american football videos the comments section gets flooded with rugby fans trashing the sport, I come here and theres comments about nfl and america by you guys. Is this common over there? Just a sheer hate for america and anything american? Im jusy curious because a good friend i work with is from nzl and played rugby league and hes a huge raiders fan and doesnt trash the sport.
@Epimpin101

@DerrenBrown100 the funny thing is we don't give a shit about Rugby, none of our best athletes in America even know what Rugby is... and if you check the history books America is actually the defending gold medalist in Rugby, we won it last time it was in the olympics like 80 years ago. Plus if your sport Rugby is dominated by a country with 5million people ( new zeland) thats fkin embaressing.

its kind-of hard for me to take a sport seriously that is dominated by a country with a population of 5million. All the other countrys that play this sport must completley suck... I guarantee you if America played this sport the game would evolve so fast, and I can guarantee a country with 5mill would not dominate. And by America play it, i'm talking about our best athletes... AKA african americans.

Rugby IS played all over the world just like normal sports.. i play second row for my provincial team here in pakistan :) 20 countries playing rugby in Asia ALONE !do the math for rest of the world. its not abt how much money the players are making.its abt how much heart theyve got into the game WITHOUT guards and just shear muscle and bone :)

american or soccer? because there is no way you can justify EITHER soccer has become a game for WOMEN -> look how much diving has come in, it's even in the VIDEO GAMES! and american football!? the guys are waaaay too bloody unfit, their plays are averagely about 15-20 seconds long, IF THAT, and i saw a defensive player (not sure of position) make a 60 yard counter attack run and he needed to be carried off and pumped full of oxygen....
