Yeah! They're awesome for storing large amounts of files that either load quickly regardless of the storage solution or maybe things like video footage that you need to keep accesible but aren't currently using.
Those front fans appear to blow air behind the MB which might cool the VRM's. Very few people seem to realise that you can cool VRM mosfets from the back of the MB (they're intended to sink heat to the PCB they're soldered to).
Something to keep in mind with this case, (my build is the none rgb version) it can get very dusty if not in a proper location and can be a pain to clean sometimes, however it looks amazing so I don’t mind it 😅
I like the design touches. It's a nice case, I like it a lot. The only slight thing I have against it is given the space in the back I'm slightly appalled that there is only bays for 2x 2.5" drives and 1 3.5" drive. In conjunction to my NVMe drive, I have 4x 2.5" Sata NVMe drives - and I don't think that's unusual these days. Oh well, that's where even simple case mods with a 3D printer can come in handy. For example my (older) case has the space for all those drives - sorta. The problem with my older case is that front case fans interfere with using the 2.5" drive mounts. My solution was to CAD up and 3D print a 2 drive tray that mounts cleanly behind the motherboard tray (just enough space to do that). Of course, I'm still going to be vocal (for virtually all modern cases) about lack of having even just a single 5.25" or 3.5" external tray. I need and use my SD card reader for my 3D printer, & I don't want the desk clutter of using an external USB card reader. It's most convenient to have it in the system (the computer is already on the desk, so I like to keep it all integrated). ;-)
I always wondered why people needed that drive space as optical is basically dead. Do Lexar not make a nice neat multicard reader that would sit quite neatly on top of a case that would work ok for you ?
@@theonlyredspecial I don't want the clutter (inc. things sitting on top of my computer). Besides, that's where my gaming controller sits and headphones.
While i agree there is a ton of wasted space in the PSU side, if you are just using 2.5inch ssds then you can just literally toss in there, they don't have any moving parts to worry about. Ofcourse if you don't want to toss them you can just double face them in there or just search for a similar solution online, pretty sure catties that can be mounted easily that offer 2.5inch slots are easily available to buy. Also for the 5.25 bay pretty sure the top-end bequiet offers 1slot
@@Wolar94 Well, I'm not one for haphazardly tossing things into my computers or taping down parts like that (or using a glue gun, etc) - I take pride in my builds and I do have standards. 😉 LOL And as I said, I can always 3D print something... It's a very minor annoyance that one would have to come up with something as opposed to it already being there - it's got all that space after all. Ah well, I still like the case - I'll likely recommend it to others. And your right, BeQuiet does in fact still make some of the very few cases that have external drive provisions - but those cases never seem to be stocked at any of the local retailers for me (yes, I could always use Newegg for one).🙂
thanks Leo, i have to admit that i have never really been a fan of NZXT. but, this case, this case might have won me over. i am listing out parts for a new build. i may consider with this case now
Curious as to why he didn’t run the 2 140mm fans as intake in the bottom of the case as well. I was really hoping to see a comparison. But, I suppose I’ll just do my own testing once it arrives in 3 days.
Hey i'm curious as well. I'm looking to buy this H6 Flow and i'm really concerned on what the best fan setup will be. I've heard the bottom fans will increase temps for the CPU most of the time, don't know about the GPU though. That, and one should use only either exhaust top fans or intake bottom fans. Did you do your testings?
I’ve got 5 intake and 3 exhaust, my radiator is 369 like in the vid at the top for exhaust and I have 2 140 fans on the bottom for intake, so far they have helped with cooling everything I can’t remember the numbers but I do remember that they where lower with the 2 extra fans
Many thanks for the review. I normally do not consider NZXT cases but with the difference in design/price, just ordered one for the my next build. Will be air cooled so will be putting a couple of additional fans in
A Leo review! Excellent. That looks to be a very good case. Thank you for showing it to us. BTW is the speed of the Silverstone ad correct? It sounds sped up.
NZXT C1200 Gold psu has been out of stock for months on their website.. its back on website to buy seperate.. but not on pc build options..due to warehouse that builds them not having any of these C1200s in stock.. and they have no idea when they will have any in stock?! Ridiculous
the fans in that location seem to be an odd choice, I would have assumed the adjacent corner would have been the obvious place with the hole behind the motherboard. It looks good all the same
I believe it’s only 120 fan on the back, the bottom is 2 140 fans and they don’t fit on the back of mine, my build is like a month old and I have not got a fan due to money but yeah 120 fan at back
hey LEO can you please help me answer this question....i saw in your first little quick ad that in the corsair setup; Ive been looking HARD at the 5000t for my new build and in that specific ad in this video and in a few other photos in what not over time....i keep seeing it WITHOUT the MESH FRONT PANEL.....is what they are showing GLASS?? or is it just WITHOUT the front panel at all lol?!!!! ive spoken with corsair experts on the website about this and they keep claiming that there is NO glass front panel mod available and that you cannot switch on the 5000x glass on to the front panel.......so WTF....WHAT GIVES!???
To my eyes that looks like a render rather than video of hardware so I would say it is only a representation of a case. Alternatively you could treat it as a template for a mod. Leo
@@KitGuruTech thank you....i would kill for a version of the 5000T that has a glass front panel and not mesh. maybe im overreacting about it but the mesh just seems less/cheaper of an aesthetic.... edit: there can still be airflow with the cutouts on the sides of the glass like in the 5000x....its disappointing that the 5000x glass panel cannnot be compatible to be thrown on the 5000t considering its almost the same design
The case is supplied without bottom fans and this is a review of the case rather than a 'how to build a PC in the H6 Flow workshop', but it seemed like an obvious move to at least try a rear fan. Leo
Another O11D clone but the diagonal edge is on the back side intead of HYTEs front side diagonal glass or screen edge. I would like to see something new and truly unique but still functional in the ATX case market. But i gues there are only so many ways to make a PC case in the end.
@@Qelyn Aside from the diagonal side fan mount instead of a streight it kinda does to me i used to have an O11D. But case manufacturers tend to follow popular trends with only minor modifications. There are unique cases but they are usualy inpractical or expensive or both.
@@rufusmctavish1164 Naah i have 2 rigs atm. One is in the Fractal North TG Black and the other is in the ThermalTake The Tower 200 Snow Edition. Both are nice but still there are things i dont like about them. Im changing cases pretty often trying to find the ''right one''. 🙂
@@j.p.h.8126 Yeah and there’s loads of cases similar theres only a certain amount of customisation you can do and the o11 wasn’t the first case like that i used to have one like it before the o11 came out but it was a smaller case the same sort of thing just smaller built my first pc in it
Appreciate the review but I think you went a bit light on the cons ..a "Must Have" should be extended to "Must Have If You Use Only NZXT Components".. I wanted to buy this case but you cant put a radiator on the side .. you have to be aware of the thickness of your fans .. MB mounting is a little too low .. Trying to use a 360 AiO at the top will interfere with some MBs..
The NZXT AIO I used is quite typical of the type and while 30mm fans would likely be a problem I don't regard that as a criticism of the case. Similarly clearance with tall RAM and/or motherboards with a fixed I/O and big VRM coolers. These are certainly considerations but compact ATX cases always struggle in those areas. Leo
Thank you for your response.. It just seems like they built it for their parts and not give consumers options as you would like to have when building a PC
Wow a Hyte Y70 ripoff except the touch screen ok, another fish tank is always nice. 🙂 Great review Leo i might be in the market for a different fishtank.
No other channel forces three or four "sponsor" ads on their audience.. That's about the only negative thing I can say.. its jarring and some of them with the sped up voice are just lazy... That said, despite some of the flaws.. I REALLY want this case. Have a Y40, not impressed with the Y 40. Also, every reviewer seems upset at the lack of 120 support on the bottom.. Why? 140s move more air with less noise.. I wish more cases were making 140mm only mounts.
Hit the timestamps. They put them there for a reason. I guess they need support and it’s better than Linus 2 minute ads selling a vpn that doesn’t work
Don’t know what channels you watch I’ve sat through four videos from different channels and I’ve had to skip 90 seconds of the actual reviewers selling some tat. At least these short ad breaks are good products and a time stamp is always there to skip them. I’d like to keep Leo in a job not like I’m paying anything.
Really dont like the kraken name. That word was ruined by Sidney Powell. Flow isn't such a great name either especially as RU-vid just made me watch a tampax flow advert.
A very upsetting case. The Organism is just shouting "WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!" and I'm getting unpleasant fairground ride vibes. Very odd; definitely NOT my cup of tea!
