take this from a person who dances at the palace: todd was a very vital part of the royal family. a lot of parris's choreography is brainstormed and developed with other dancers like todd, kiel, jess, etc.. what you need to remember is that most of these people who were under parris and now have made their own careers have learnt a LOT of what they know from parris.. but this doesn't mean it isn't as good, it doesn't mean they are copying the royal family.. hip hop as a dance genre is just upping its game entirely, and the whole world is just keeping up with that.
I think the reason why people have issues is because although they are not copying royal family, you can tell it's HEAVILY inspired to the point where it feels ripped off. You can be inspired and still look like your own group. My first reaction to the video was that it was royal family... as a former dancer I wouldn't want to be a cover group for someone else.
Yall have to understand that Todd was apart of the RF, helped choreography some parts of the dances too that's why the dance may look like it's from the RF....BECAUSE HE'S FROM THE RF And upgrading hip hop dance moves from his past experiences.
Stop complaining people... I didnt know that some of the dancers were part of RF and that's why it looks similar at some points But u gotta admit IT'S EEEFFFING LEGIT!

Todd Williamson, Kiel Tutin & Shyvon Campbell are some of the choreographers & Kiel did a lot of the choreography for royal family & Shyvon was obviously in royal family . That’s why it looks so familiar for everyone wondering.
Very CLEAN (side note: I understand that Todd was from the royal family and that’s why the moves look similar BUT the outfits ARE VERY SIMILAR to wait we would see from the royal family. Just my 2 cents)
The music mix is great but I feel the choreography does not fully express what is trying to be conveyed in the words of the song.... so much potential based on that track but it fell short... I feel like I've seen these dance moves a million times before. ...
They still have a long way to go. Some of the dancing wasn't on beat, or synchronized the way it's supposed to be for a dance competition... if they continue to work at it, I believe they will get where they want to be.

Okay, so no one cares if royal family is better, stop commenting “this doesn’t top royal family” or “royal family is better” okay? When did we ask, they aren’t even competing against royal family so why do you have to say that in the first place? And the choreographer is an ex royal family member so that’s why you would think this is similar, and some girls in this crew are former members of bubblegum and duchesses and rfv, like Eden, Brianna & Siyanna, and in my opinion this doesn’t really look like the royal family’s choreo, maybe the songs are similar but royal family hasn’t used any of this choreo except maybe some vogue and Afro bits, I have something to say, ROYAL FAMILY DOESNT OWN VOGUE AND AFRO, you guys gotta get through your dumb minds, that they work hard for this and you guys are just putting them down, saying “there wasn’t enough energy” like I’ve been on a stage before and you have loads of energy and perform to your best and this is what these ladies did.
If you can't see the similarities in their moves then you are a blind idiot. You said so yourself that the choreo is an ex rf and a handful of dancers are from rf. The formations and moves are visibly rf the only difference is that any of the RF crew have far better transitions, energy, and by far more entertaining. As for mix, RF may not own or have license for any of them but they did put on the hard work to find that perfect match between their dance and the rhythm and beat of the chosen songs. I'm not hating the nzxx, just you for your idiocy.
Yeah this was just lacking the punch. I think a lot of these girls were prob tired as hell but they make it look easy so its missimg that energy and snap and power. That vogue section was KILLER tho
Guys there are girls in there that have danced with the The Royal Family for many years and the choreographer has also been a senior dancer at the Palace and in RF and even helped choreographing with parris and kiel and so on. It's not ripped of. PERIODT.
