This is one of the things that I miss from hanging around with my Samoan "Brothers" and "Family" from the Army...that the whole family is involved in preparing the meal, blessing the food, and staying together. To the Putugas, Ta' Lofa !!! Miss you, Brothers !!!

I'm a born native. In our tradition, we men do the umu cooking, and women do light cooking. That's the way it was. We do the farming and fishing and women stay home do a little here and there.
