Came to my college and gave a free concert! Loved his music. He just got caught up in the LA game. Got to see him recently. He still sounds great and glad to see that he got out of the LA bs.
Where is the UNSUNG episode on this brother? Totally underrated. I've been a fan since THE GIGOLO. His first album DOIN ALRIGHT is still one of my favorites and this jam will rock a party right now today! He's more known for his ballads but this is one funky brother and HE'S BACK! I own all his albums and just checked out a new/newer song called...SOMETIMES (LOCKDOWN). If you haven't heard it...do yourself a favor! Multi-talented and deserves his props! #HUGEFAN!!! He did a theme song for SOUL TRAIN and it's the best theme song the show ever had.
Was searching for this song for years! Had it in my head but did not recall lyrics or name of musician. Overwhelmed with joy because this was one the best songs in the 80s. Thanks for sharing.
An 80's Ol' Skool jam blasted on the street and in the club...it use to bump from boom boxes set in parks for dance skaters, hoisted on shoulders of meander's making their way thru 'hoods, & from subs 'n trunks! And it became a not-to-be-missed classic on DJ's play lists, coast-coast. I routinely heard it/felt it when I poured all nite, Fri's & Sat's @ California's renowned Silks Night Club in Emeryville.
