Humble American here! Just wanted to say that I appreciate you as our northern neighbors! I just saw a hockey game where the mic disconnected on our national anthem, Canadian fans helped sing it despite everything! You are really neighbors that we dont deserve! I've now made it my goal to learn O Canada by heart, maybe I can repay this kindness one day. ❤ you Canada!!!
Since I am working remotely from home as a teacher, I play this for my students every single morning. What a beautiful way to begin our mornings! Thank you so much. I’m such a fan of you all
Hi! I have been teaching grade 2 online in Ontario since September. THIS IS OUR FRIDAY O CANADA! Thanks so much for this...and for giving us a sense of celebration at the end of every week!
Glad to see they are using French's Ketchup - made from good, Canadian tomatoes from (Leamington, Essex County near Windsor), where Heinz, who had a factory there for decades, up and left, putting hundreds out of work. French's came to the rescue. BUY FRENCH'S - BOYCOTT HEINZ.
@@kaejamieson1458 You have interesting tastebuds. I switched to French's as soon as they came to the rescue, and I have never once noticed the difference or regretted my choice.
I just discovered you guys recently and IMMEDIATELY subscribed. I have always loved “O Canada” - what a beautiful anthem you have in your country.! And THIS version just makes me smile, what a happy video❣️🙂 Thanks for the day-brightener!
@@VinVin_31 I'm Canadin and I agree. Why do people even think this is good? It's disrespectful to the anthem to treat like some sort of pop song. And even if it was just it's own song it's still awful.
Je suis anglophone, mais j'ai appris les paroles françaises quand j'étais petite. Je ne les ai jamais oubliés. "...Protégera nos foyers et nos droits!"
This was my class' favorite O Canada on RU-vid. We watched it every Friday for the whole year. This is what they wanted to say to you - This is the best O Canada ever! It was relaxing and nice. Next week is Canada Day.
Ouuuu ya happy Canada D-eh there buds. Have the best time ever eh? But seriously, you guys are the best and I hope you guys are doing great and keep up the great work. You guys truely deserve all your success! True north strong babay!🇨🇦🇨🇦
I ❤ Canada | From the Philippine-Canadian community! 🇵🇭❤️🇨🇦 I love Canada so much, there is lots of things can do, eat, have a picnic, study, fishing, and other more! Canada is so beautiful and lovely, I would love to visit Canada! I want to explore Inuit cultures and the natures of Canada!
Nah, today is Quebec's national holiday. I'm slightly offended? Disappointed, maybe? Might not be the right words, but usually you don't see maple leaves until after the day of the fleur-de-lis in my province. I'm guessing it's out of respect and not to provoke anything...not implying that's what WOTE did here. I really liked the song, though. They did even mixed in a little french in there! Happy Canada day, fellow countrymen!
I have, barely, We were up in Tuktoyuktuk and went looking for moose boots, and went to a house full (3) of Native women who where sewing them...and LISTENING TO CBC......
You guys should sing that at every event that our anthem needs to be sung at. That is the most uplifting version of Oh Canada I've ever heard. It happens to be one of my favourite songs. And I love your version the most!
Love these guys, and girl. Envoy their beautiful voices! They do a great job here! Very proud of them! And I think I know someone else who would be very proud of them too.
Oh my goodness! I haven't been able to find this band for years because I couldn't remember their name until today, they finally popped up in my feed! Wahoo!! Best cover of O Canada ever! Makes me feel proud 😊 Also noticing their adjusted lyric: "In all of us command". Well done.
Gotta admit, every single time I hear Joel sing I smile SOOOOOOO big! I've followed you guys since I was a little girl (11 or 12, and I'll be 20 in December) and it makes me SO happy to see how far you guys have come!!! Sending so much love! HAPPY CANADA DAY GUYS!!!!!
YOUR POOR KIDS MY SCHOOL IS OPEN AND WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS EVERY DAY AT A NOT EVEN TIMED TIME AND TRASH PUNS FROM KIDS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I can tell your more then 200 kids freaking hate this one I’m 13 and this will be the death of me even the teacher hates this song she’s 27 and we openly say she’s a depressed lady child with a hint of obsession of McDonalds WHEEZE
Nice Anthem. I'm from São Paulo BRAZIL. Never been out of my land. Learned english by the age of 13. Even learned both Anthens American and Canadian. I have a great appreciation for these two countries.
O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all of us command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free! From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. God keep our land glorious and free! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
You are the most original Canadian group to hit the touring stages. WOW and Frenchs Ketchup on the table love it, first saw you about 5 years ago and now it will be our 50th anniversary hope to see again soon. :) (ps when we attended your shows we wanted to donate but the donation place was hard to find could you clear that up please )
@@Julius_Barus Relax Barozzi. This is good. It gives a new life to the anthem. Et il y a une partie en français ! This version is very appreciated as Oh Canada was written by two french Canadians for la Saint-Jean Baptiste, fête nationale des Canadiens-français. Good to see respect given to the language.
Despite all the snide remarks regarding the singing of our national anthem, I was happy to hear the national anthem this morning. Canadians are not perfect. And we have much to answer for regarding our treatment of our aboriginal friends, but we are living in one of the greatest countries in the world right now. Instead of criticizing, do something. I listened to Katherine McKenna's speech this morning notifying the Canadian public of her departure from the Government of Canada and her message was to "Just do it!' Don't just talk about it, "Do IT!" We are all a part of this great country and we must fix our shortcomings which includes our relationship with the aboriginal peoples, our Muslim Canadians, our Black Canadians, our immigrants from all parts of the world. We must spread love throughout our country and treat all people kindly. This Canada Day, why don't we visit a Native Reserve, why don't we write a letter of appreciation to an immigrant family, why don't we learn to treat all our fellow Canadians and indeed all peoples in the world fairly, equally, and with love. It is difficult to imagine what that world would look like, how much better it would be.
French's rescued the tomato farmers and workers of Leamington after Heinz closed its plant and moved to the US. I have been buying French's ever since. Heinz will never get another nickel from me, ever again.
Thanks so much for reminding us how lucky we are to live here, you guys are very talented musicians, forever one of my favorite bands, and people thanks you for being so grounded and giving back so often xxxooo ❤❤
Oh my gosh this is so epic :0 I was wanting to find a good recording of you guys singing this song and you totally uploaded the perfect one!! Totally gonna make an animation to go with it :D
Okay, I'm a clueless American (but hey, I have excellent taste in music, right?), so please tell me: Ketchup? Why is it so Canadian? Just curious. Also, y'all really DO have a much better anthem than we do, it's way more tuneful and emotional.
There was a thing with Heinz ketchup announcing they were moving to the States and they were quitting using Canadian tomatoes, which put many of our farmers' livelihood in jeopardy. French's came along and saved the day, by saying they would use Canadian tomatoes and bottle their ketchup North of the border, which created lots of jobs! Yay French's! So now the whole country has switched over, lol. But to answer your question, I don't think we necessarily eat more ketchup than Americans, although we do love our ketchup chips 😋 (and fries too... We're especially known for our poutine!)
@@heidigray6196 Thanks! That makes sense. Guess your poutine is kind of like our grits (I'm from the Deep South and love the stuff, especially with cheese.) Go French's! My grandmama was Canadian; she'd definitely approve.
