Five hundred eighty two performers filled the stage at the Edwin Joel Thomas Performing Arts Hall, Akron, Ohio, U.S.A. before an audience of 2,955 persons, not including volunteers and other area residents in the lobbies who could not get a seat. Each player paid $10.00 to perform and the audience donated funds toward a scholarship at The School of Music at The University of Akron.
The conductors for this event were Tucker R. Jolly, Professor Emeritus of Tuba and Euphonium at The University of Akron, and Christopher Blaha, Associate Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at UA,
The selections included in this video are O Come, All Ye Faithful, The First Noel, and Silent Night.
