THIS PSALM IS MEANT FOR:
12th Sunday of Ordinary Times, Cycle B. “O give thanks to the Lord for he is good” Psalm 107. Lyrics taken from the Lectionary 2020-CCBI, Music by Michael Peria and Musical Settings approved by - CCBI. This is a part of the Musical Scorebook, “Chanting the Responsorial Psalms” (Psalmi Responsorii in Cantu) reference B64 that will soon be published. This Responsorial Psalm is chanted by Chanted by Clarissa, one of the lead singers of HAC. Polyphonic parts sung by Clarissa, Babita, Moses and Tony from HAC. This is presented by the Hyderabad Archdiocesan Choir - HAC.
WHY THIS VIDEO:
This video posting aims at learning and chanting during our Liturgical Celebrations. Towards the end of this video, each part of the polyphonic is presented separately. Make use of Social Media to learn. I believe this will be a great help to the choir to learn and sing the chorus in polyphonic because “Singing in POLYPHONIC is really Catholic”- Pope Benedict.
ONLINE VIDEO PRODUCTION:
This Responsorial Psalm is chanted and sung by members from HAC and audio & video production is done by Clement and Benjamin at Hyderabad, India. Most of our psalm videos are produced online with singers from across various locations with guidance on how to record their parts that need to be sent to the production team.

B64 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Ps 107:23-26, 28-31
O Give thanks to the Lord for he is good;
(Give praise to the Lord)
for his mercy endures forever!
Some went down to the sea in ships,
to trade on the mighty waters.
These have seen the deeds of the LORD,
the wonders he does in the deep.
For he spoke and raised up the storm-wind,
tossing high the waves of the sea
that surged to heaven and dropped to the depths.
Their souls melted away in their distress.
Then they cried to the LORD in their need,
and he rescued them from their distress.
He stilled the storm to a whisper,
and the waves of the sea were hushed.
They rejoiced because of the calm,
and he led them to the haven they desired.
Let them thank the LORD for his mercy,
his wonders for the children of men.
