Great table and reporting again, thanks. Don't forget that troops under regimental artillery or heavier fire, and not in a bua, must retreat or take a further shock. Page 73, table 4.

Looks like the Germans called in a “panther”😸 to try and turn the British right flank there toward the end - it almost worked!!😂😂. Always enjoy your videos, Alex - OG has so many layers to it. I’d love to see you do a tutorial video on the nuances of the order system, especially the use of react orders. When I play OG with my gaming buddies it’s always quite a punch-counterpunch brawl with the orders!

Cheers, yeah the German had a big cat, but it did them no good! I am working on a video about the art of attacking at the moment and will also be doing one about combat Patrols as well when I've finished that one. It's a good idea about the orders and I will give it some thought for future.

Great video, love the battle reports. Those based farms, yards and gardens look great on the table, but they're leaving your woods looking rather simple by comparison.

Excellent. However one thing I don't understand is when the Germans fall back, why it isn't to the nearest hard cover. Seems to make more sense than falling back to open ground

Thanks, there is another one coming, which I've recored the VO for but not the visuals yet. The roads are from Geek Villain, I did a review of them a while ago and the rivers were sourced off Wargames Vault

You may also want to check the direct fire section. Targets in a bua are -2 dice.

Brilliant report! Really enjoyed watching. I'm hoping to try out this scenario soon! I did have a question about tanks firing HE. At 55:18, a platoon of Churchills fire into a building separately. This means the negative dice are applied for firing into a BUA etc twice (once for each tank). My understanding was that tanks firing AT do so separately, but tanks firing HE pool their dice (like an infantry platoon does). Example E on page 60 seems to suggest these are pooled and the negative modifiers applied to the pool and not each tank individually.

Cheers, glad you enjoyed it, as for the dice pooling, you are correct. I just got it wrong. I wouldn't take these videos as anything more than entertainment!
