No, if you take the time to memorize it you don't need to read the sheet music

Funny that. I play guitar and very rarely play with music unless I’m learning a new piece of music. I tend to just memorise it and always have done since the beginning of learning. I play trumpet too and always need music in front of me. I know it’s about practice but in comparison to the guitar it seems a harder thing to break away from. In my opinion anyway…

@@DoubleT2ts I'm the same way and I think it has to do with not having anything to visually reference. With the trumpet, you only have three valves and your brain. With the guitar, you have the entire chromatic scale lined up in front of you.

Hi guys! Thank you for watching my videos😀As for the comments, I always play by the notes, because if I learn them by heart it will take a lot of time, and then I will not be effective, because you need to play a lot (for example, I write down the notes for a song on my channel from the first or second time). I have been playing only by notes all my life, but music of any complexity. And I don't agree with the idea that it's easier to play on trumpet because only 3 valves . also 2 crones for tuning, control of each note with the lips, control of clear tone and intonation, exhalation control, synchronization of everything that was together. Something like that 🤪. Have a nice day!
