Maddalenna Causala was an accomplished lutenist and renaissance composer who deserves more exposure in the general classical music scene. Hopefully she will get extricated out of obscurity, recognized by more music historians and celebrated as joyously as other great women since St.Hildegard. Next Maddelena performance, in keeping with her time and the period of music she was a part of, spend time with her lute works and please sing her vocal works more relaxed with much less vibrato. Too much quavering vibrato wasn't predominant singing style like it became after the gallant classical, and romantic periods. Here's one example of her work sung with the appropriate performance styling. As seen on YT: "Morir non puo il mio cuore" by Maddalena Casulana Nightingale Vocal Ensemble
