It can be very well noted that the composition is mastered by the genius Salil Chowdhury. The melody that includes the major & minor notes are so gracefully crafted that one could really experience the power magic of the song when one hears it - probably the maestro must have had in his mind that the composition that he is creating would only be meant for the nightangle since he must have been very much confident that only Lata Mangeshkar could do the the real justice to his composition - the final outcome is beyond imagination - it's par excellence.
Lataji said in one of her interview that Salilda's composition was challenge for her amoung all the musicians of her time. Salilda' s compositions are complex and moves on unpredictable path
Year 1980 salil Chowdhury composed music for a bangla film "Porobesh" oy chobite Sabita Chowdhury konthe "kore mon goon goon" ei gaan ti O Re Maan Gun Gun song er bangla version.
Most of the famous music directors of hindi movies are Bengali, but now a days we don’t find too many bengali music directors except few (e.g. Pritam).

This all songs would hv bn more better in aashajis voice as her voice was in those period at high peak but since srating salilda was stick with lataji only.
Can’t thank you enough. Sadly Salil s contribution is relegated to the background. A singer can only enhance the tune and add a pinch of their magical touch of their voice and nothing more !
