you’ll be surprised how much violence has been glamourized in the Bollywood industry. I haven’t watched this movie in particular, but it’s quite common in movies to see dancers entertaining a group of villains/ the anti-hero. hence the knife thing is supposed to be aesthetic. go figure

These songs are worth watching: garmi, Nachi Nachi, lagdi Lahore di from Street Dancer 3, Naah featuring Harrdy Sandhu (music video) Kamariya from Stree (movie) Pepeta: she sings in this one and isn’t singing in most of these (music video, non Indian) and Dilbar (movie) to start with. She’s a queen.

So I scrolled through the comments hoping someone would have explained the knife but I couldn't see one - so this song is a remake of an older song called Saaki Saaki from a film called Musafir, and the knife is a reference to the video of the original song. I think it may also make a bit more sense in the context of this movie (Batla House) -hope that helps! Love your reaction though. Have just come across your channel and am really enjoying you discovering Nora, she's one of my faves!
