Now listen: Usually people don’t appreciate the one of a kind craftsman till they long gone underground, even when they witness greatness and watched them live, the real amazement come long after they gone when we noticing that no one makes it to the top like that and stay there with class and beauty in his art, but with Ronnie “the rocket” man .... I miss him before his gone, we see there is no chance we will witness anyone come close to him in this game ever, ever again.
I mean.. I swear every game Ronnie goes like 5/0 then lets the other player win 5 to go even, and then beats them, it's like someone is coaching him to make the games look fair.... super class
I've seen guys give him a run for his money. Robertson made it a fight. The main thing I see at this highest level, the more it looks like just making one or two fewer errors than the other guy. I haven't been watching snooker, let alone playing it, for long, so I got lured in by the highlight reels, before watching all or most of matches. I didn't know he even had to make a safe shot, because all I saw were incredible pots. Watching the chess match with Robertson, I don't see a huge amount of difference in skill. Difference in style, but Robertson and one or two other guys are right up there, close to the limit of what a human can do.
When Ronnie has retired (in the FAR FAR future, I hope!), this trophy should be named "The Ronnie O'Sullivan Tour Championship trophy", since he not only was the first to win it, but is the GOAT !
I think of Willie Mosconi, and that he was an absolute genius, and completely ahead of all competitors...and that it's a shame that there's precious film history of what he could do, which I'm sure would be a great pleasure to see. With Ronnie....his play may be watched for CENTURIES, as an example of just what the human mind and body is capable of. People will marvel over this forever, as long as there's a way to keep seeing it.

Ronnie e' sicuramente il piu' grande giocatore di snooker che sia mai esistito,una classe cristallina,l'unico che gioca con entrambi le braccia indifferentemente,e per chi ha sangue Italiano nelle vene un orgoglio doppio,fantastico.

Spoiler alert. Thanks for killing the suspense! Just call it Game 23 of 25 and it will be exciting. I'm an Aussie and would've cheered on Robertson. Now I know it's hopeless.
What impresses me most about snooker players beside the obvious ( amazing skill) is the way they carry themselves while playing this game. No talking to the audience or the opposing player. No tantrums about missed shots or bad position of the cue ball. They also dress appropriately for respect of the game and those who came to watch it. Compare that to American pool and it's kind of disappointing to watch 9 ball , 10 ball , 8 ball or 14.1 played by contenders that dress like bums and some act like spoiled children.
The one and the only sportsman whom you never ever hope to lose to an underdog- In all other sports and sportsmen you always wish the underdog to beat the favorit unless its Ronnie @ world Nr.ONE since he picked up a cue
