You are easily one of the greatest power tool woodworkers on RU-vid, i am in awe at your precision and attention to detail. What I can’t believe is I’m only finding your channel now!
The precision in each of your large tool setups is incredible. Love seeing that. Well done. Very impressive. It is so difficult to make something like this with such a hard wood. The end result is stunning! I love that you let the splines on the table top shine. Very interesting look.
Sir, you have just created an heirloom piece. This has to be the strongest table on the planet. Your attention to detail is impeccable. Your tools are to be desired. That Festool part to sand on an angle is priceless. I grew up watching New Yankee Workshop with Norm Abram but you could definitely have your own television series. Cheers from Brooklyn, NY.
What a beautiful piece of work, that table will last for generations. I had a Rockwell 12" or 14" radial arm that I only used for dadoes and half laps, so it was nice seeing you use one the same way. I'm sure some people will say, "sure he builds nice stuff because he has all the tools." I would say they are not any good without the knowledge. You also have a lot of hand work in this project that also lets us know your skill level.Congrats on the build.
@@dandeflavis7004to be fair it's generally only used dangerously or as a chop saw! 😂 Having a burned out old radial arm saw built in to the bench of a shop I moved into has really put me on to the utility over a chop saw. Even a clapped out old saw ends up being really useful! Now I really wish I could find a replacement motor or saw head for it because I'd have to tear a lot of it apart to pull the whole assembly out of there. But it's old as the hills, I think a late 70s or early 80s model off the top of my head, and so far my searches have come up dry.
You don't need to!! Just watch him and start off with a small range of tools and once you feel confident enough "start a channel and sell us your self!! This guy is good but he has the best of the best tools which are precision tools which makes joinery so much easier to do and you need to have a basic understanding of math and be creative and have the hunger for wood work and passion for the warmth that wood gives a person who loves and appreciates wood !!
The construction paper roll at the end of the bench is pure genius. I love watching a true artisan craftsman at work. I pick up an excellent process tweak, or a shop setup trick. Fantastic stuff. Excellent joinery, and the result was an absolute work of art. Can definitely tell you love this.
I am a person who loves wooden furniture, because it is very environmentally friendly, thank you for creating beautiful, useful works for life, wishing you and your family good health!!!!❤❤❤❤
Love your attention to detail! Not only in the outstanding accuracy of your work but also in your care for your tools and the layout and cleanliness of your shop. You epitomise excellence…!!
As a newly retired person with a lifelong passion to created my own wooden creations, it is a pleasure to watch your video creations. In every step, you have a wonderful smile that shows your passion. I too, would love to be a student under your tutorlige.❤
I lost count of the amount of tools/ equipment this man has! Well deserving of the skills he possesses... I could really use some of it 😂 Awesome video
There is seemingly a lack of skilled tradesman being developed nationwide. Videos of this young man's prowess would be a tremendous inspiration and should be displayed in every school career counciling session
I really like the fact that you use so many diferent techniques and tools to achieve the some result As saying: If you have this tool do it this way but if you have this other tool do it this other way Really appreciate that you are not showing of but teaching. Well done Prof 👏
I wish I could do that anymore. I'm old and lost my edge but I sure appreciate the young ones that come up and do that skill that may be lost in the future. Melvin Joe bufford
My friend, that was really de Best job proyect i have ever seen 😮!! Congratulations you are a great carpenter. Keep going a nevera give up, God bless you!!
You have skills. Seriously *great* skills. It's those small but exceptionally accurate details you execute - a pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing and teaching.
Bro your skills and craftsmanship is unbelievable, not to mention your shop and tool collection. That’s what my dream shop should be like …. Keep up the good work sir
I love watching these videos. He just looks so happy. You can really tell he loves what he's doing. Not to mention the superior work he does. Well done, man. I am duely impressed 🎉
Dusty, seriously buddy, besides not ruining the video with a monotonous tune or a running commentary, your videos are fantastically satisfying. There's nothing better than watching an experienced craftsman at work....simply amazing 👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪
Damn i miss wood working. Im 37 now and almost 3 years ago i decided to go to carpentry school even tho im kinda old for school. I graduated february this year and after that i really havent had a chance to continue my "career" in carpentry because of a few different reasons. I hope its only matter of time when i can get back in to business! Btw, you "shop" is really really nice, wish i could have the space and money to build something like that in our house, wow 😁
Thank you very much. Keep it up! Truth is I was just a guy in his garage with budget ryobi tools and a used table saw 8 years ago. Only wood work class I ever took was in high school a million years ago. Just started making stuff and learning from mistakes and always reinvesting profits into upgrading my tools. Then a few years into it I started learning how to make content and edit videos by trial and error. Anyone can do it if they will put in the work 👍
Whoa, this is absolutely amazing to me. I struggled making a potting bench. It’s so nice to watch someone at this level work his magic. Great job on a difficult project.
Awesome, everything I've seen you do is very neat. I wish I had your tool shop it's cool, dude, I make flat-bottomed wooden boats in the uk. Some posh kid went past and said to his passengers we don't make boats out of wood anymore. That said everything to me.
I have asked no less than three times for Mr. Dusty Lumber to be my mentor, and through his non responsiveness, I have learned from the master that he intends for these videos to be his mass media mentorship. Arigato, Sensei! Arigato, Gozimaste!
Thanks - sorry I do not have the time or space to offer mentorship’s or apprenticeships to all the people who ask. The best I can do is make these videos and more and hope people can learn from them. Perhaps in the future when I have more time and space I can offer some classes
@@dustylumberco I know. I was responding simply with that very understanding. It seems there are several folks in your comments who would also love apprenticeships. My only intention is to compliment your work. I myself also do not have time to move to Canada and do an apprenticeship. I am building furniture as a hobby, and I do hope that it will one day become my full time gig. I currently teach violin lessons to a ton of young students, and I am swamped with it until the day comes that my wood working comes much closer to your status. Thanks for sharing your craftsmanship.
It's a great pleasure to watch wooden projects made by You. I am sure many of watchers would be like "I need to get one of those projects done"😊 Btw, nice tools 👍 Greetings from UK
