In this video I make an oak chest for my daughter's room to serve as a storage for her toys.
This time I experimented with cross-cut slises, epoxy resin and bark. I tried to make it steady and strong because I know that my little kids will climb on it.
I'm happy with the outcome. Later I will attach the lifting mechanism to avoid chest cover falling down.

I am amazed. Not just at the craftsmanship or the result which are second to none but 1.5 thousand dislikes??? There are so many people in this world that I do not understand, well maybe that's a good thing on second thoughts. I liked and subbed.

This may be the most interesting video I have seen for a long time. You may have the right machines for such project but machines are not everything. It shows amazing techniques, knowledge and devotion, but mostly, patience and attention to detail for such a time consuming project, something that most woodworkers lack. Congratulations !!!

True woodworkers have patience and attention to detail, however many RU-vid woodworker want to be’s are the ones without the attention to detail and patience. In the world of RU-vid there are so many “woodworkers” trying to cash in on being a “maker” but true craftsmen are few and far between.

@@marklumley619 Totally agree Mark. I don't know this guy's name, Russian?? Anyway...very talented woodworker. MUCH attention to detail. I especially like the steel sleeves and rods inside the handles and hinges. They will never be seen and there will be ZERO wood on wood friction on those important high wear spots.

Very nice work but if it were me i would have used nicer wood like walnut or cedar or zebra wood idk just something not so ordinary. Thats just me though cause i like wood that looks different.
