I'm going to show you an easy way to get oak to look like walnut. With this two step process you'll make your project really stand out without spending a fortune!!!
We used a variety of products like Rustoleums enamel and General Finishes Stains to make this project perfectly match.

I just did this technique on oak barstools, but the provincial made the color darker than I wanted to achieve. The rust oleum gloss leather was almost a perfect match and I was surprised that it didn’t have a glossy finish. Thank you for the upload!

Barrister bookcase top. Was having trouble getting it dark enough with just stain, would have never thought of using paint under to seal and darken.

Solid oak corner cabinet, about 6' high. Going darker. The large areas are a pain!!! Any tips, tricks or help is appreciated! Thanks for the video.

I will have to give this a try. I have walnut cabinets and we were hoping to use walnut trim but man!!! the dollars! So someone suggested we use alder or another similar grain wood and stain it to match the cabinets. I will give this a try. Any other tips or other wood choices let me know!!! Thanks.
