Overview of Oakfield Apparatus soil samplers and demonstration of how to put together a soil probe kit.
All Oakfield Apparatus soil probes are constructed of nickel chrome plated 16 gauge steel for better rust protection and less friction. All probes have graduated depth markers at 6 inches so you know how far deep into the soil you are. They take an 8" or 12" core depending on the tube you are using. All diameters are approximately 3/4 of an inch.
Our sampling kits feature interchangeable parts, so it’s convenient and economical to mix and match to create just the right tool. With the extension rods you can go as far down in the soil as you need, and with the replaceable tips you can sample in any kind of soil.
