Good for the fans to show that a community cares about a city team that has been a part of their lives from birth and then passed on to their kids…and how ownership only cares about $ …and not putting money back into the team/facility or the fan experience…owner has to go…Go A’s !! And good luck Fans !!!
Hello. I'm a lifelong Dodger fan since the mid 70's. I've been riveted by the criminal act by the Fisher/Kaval gangster group. I absorb every news bit on RU-vid regarding this terrible act. At the end of this clip I got emotional. I live in the Kern County area, otherwise I would've come up there to support the Oakland fans. It just came to me that if the A's left and the market became sole property of the Giants, one of the best natural rivalries in baseball would be dead. Here's what I think: The Giants fans and franchise should support the A's fans by doing another reverse boycott where it would take place on an AWAY GAME for the Giants. That way the SF fans could show support and really pack that Coliseum. The MLB Commissioner ManFraud and the rest of the owners are making a huge mistake by being allowing this to happen. Let the A's go, but make Fisher leave the name in Oakland. Money isn't the problem there. It's Fisher. Go A's.
There's a reason Vegas is getting both professional teams from Oakland. The city of Oakland is trash and so is the stadium there. Vegas is where it's at. A first class city that can support the team. Too bad these fans in Oakland aren't as passionate about the team leaving as they should be about cleaning up the city. Living in Vegas. I welcomed the Raiders and the same with the A's. No coincidence, both professional teams are LEAVING Oakland. Sorry but true.
@@monica93304 I called the city of Oakland trash, not the people. I fly into Oakland a couple times a year and I'm shocked how bad that city looks. Homelessness everywhere, crime infested, graffiti everywhere, everyone seems to have an attitude. Some people can't handle the truth. Keep voting the same politicians in year after year and you get a city of corruption like Oakland. It's not gonna change anytime soon. It's sad since Oakland has so much potential but open your eyes and take a look on what is going on in that city and CA in general. I chose not to live there for those reasons and the owner of the team choses to not have a team there. You would probably make the same decision if you were him. Vegas can offer so much more and does it well. Come visit us to catch a Raiders and soon an A's game soon.
@Dizzyskyline Fisher is the unwilling partner. He's ripping the roots out of the ground and destroying what's left. He's a grifter and when push came to shove. Never wanted to put half a dollar into the town. Your politicians are giving Fisher $$$ you don't have for education, after school programs, etc. But, you knew that, and don't care. I have nothing against Vegas. To me it's boring. It's stuck with Mark Davis and his terrible team. We're going to have to agree to disagree. But your initial comment was a slap in the face to Oakland natives that had their hearts ripped out by a thief. Good luck.
such a joke .. .the game the next day saw less than 7k fans - a 1/4 of the mid-week attendance of other teams. So glad the team is moving of the armpit that is oakland.
Not sure who is pushing this. But, they (A’s) will have to move, regardless. There is no market in Oakland. It has nothing to do with ownership. These people are oblivious. Warriors and Raiders are gone for a reason. Soon, the Warriors will have to move again, and so will the Giants. SF is the leading edge of the big collapse. RUN FOR YOU LIVRS!!!
The definition of “packed” is apparently in the eye of the beholder. The Coliseum seats 46,000 for baseball. 27,000 showed up. It would have been more of a statement if the place was sold out, but why let facts ruin the narrative.
It’s a Tuesday night game, that’s why. More than half of the league doesn’t average over 27k per game throughout the season. The point is fans would be more inclined to show had Fisher not keep continuously sabotaging the team to fulfill his own interests.
I wish this crowd packing would have happen at EVERY homestand over the past several years. It might have been the difference needed. Also, the mayor's the city Oakland had (through their inaction) bare a large part of what is happening now
"A's fans packing the stadium in what seems like forever" ... stadium still half empty ... yah, lets blame the owner as the reason why he wants to move the team.
You know they traded away all their young talent while raising ticket prices and not doing a thing to improve the stadium, right? Why on earth would you pay hard-earned money to go there?
So they only turn an average of 8000 fans and expect them to stay. I understand the owners aren’t putting money into the team but when they don’t show up how much passion is really there
All the passion. Fisher has been tanking the team for 20 + years - unless your sucker you don’t support bad business. Do more research cuz the man can’t even run the gap he was gifted. He treats his mls team like crap too.
My dad watched the dodgers leave Brooklyn when he was 10 years old. It’s sad that yet another rich man is putting his bottom line over the kids. What fisher is trying to do is a shame, something the people of Oakland will never forget
Oh man the employees pure joy at the end amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. Hope this is not the end, Sell The Team Fisher, please or stay. Don’t take this away.
there was a famous A's movie called MoneyBall, where them oakland A's used statistics and Data driven models as a result winning 20 consecutive games between August 13 and September 4, 2002. Their A's teams budget of 41M vs the Yankees 125M budget. Yet the A's pulled off the impossible. What im trying to say is There is history with the A's and Oakland. Thats a fact. When I saw this movie at 13, it forever had a impact on my life. I went into Statistics, and Data science and earned a Tech job. If the A's never existed, And I never saw that movie. My life would have been different. Glad they are staying in oakland.
i love how people act like the A's weren't winning the division and performing in the playoffs just a few years ago lol. When you put out a good team and KEEP OUR FUCKING PLAYERS AROUND we will show up!!!
Is it me..or aren’t the Athletics a team that moved from another city? Aren’t they from Philadelphia and Kansas City? So they stole the team from another city..I have no sympathy for the Oakland fans.
As owner doesn’t deserve a team same with the fans they don’t deserve a team they already forces the warriors to move and the raiders and now they are working on the As all Problems would go away if they just filled the stadium once in a while
Sorry, but if the A's had continuing attendance from its fans like this lame display, they wouldn't be moving. Small market Cardinals are going to get 3.5 million this year despite being last in the standings. Last year the small market Twinkies averaged 15,000 more in attendance than the A's. Down the coast Padres average 30,000 fans per game more than the A's. Again, sorry ... but it's the lack of fans.
Maybe if the fans didn't boycott the team they wouldn't have needed to reverse it? These very players they now cheer for their 7 game victory streak just 2 weeks ago weren't worthy of their loyalty and respect.
This reverse boycott was in the works and being planned out long before the seven game win streak. And the reason why they weren’t attending wasn’t because they didn’t want to support the players on the field, but because the stadium is literally falling apart. They have to have mothballs on the seat because the stadium is infested with rodents. Does that sound like a place you want to go? Last year stadium employees pulled dead rats out of the soda machines. The teams performance is abysmal and the ownership raised The ticket price is 33% since 2019 when they were in the playoffs.
@@wmw3629 So the players that were on the field, the same ones that now have won 7 in a row, were "not worthy" of your support? They didn't match your standards? They weren't good enough for you to support the team? Seems pretty petty.
