I'm a sales rep, we haven't had any issues of lens peeling on anything for a long time and we move thousands of pairs per year at my location. The most common damage we see is from people scratching them during use. You could also go to a sunglass hut location and pick up their sunlove protection for a few extra dollars which will cover scratch damage for the next 12 months.
