You also make the mistake of having a rain sensor, but it is covered in the garage so you don't notice that it is raining.

Thank you for your feedback. Please note that the garage is rainproof, ensuring that the machine is protected from getting wet once it returns to the docking station. Additionally, the machine itself is waterproof, so even if it gets exposed to rain, it will not be damaged.

No, it's about the fact that when the robot is in the garage, it doesn't realize that it's raining because of the roof. So that is a disadvantage. If there was a small recess in the garage so that the rain sensor could respond, the robot would not even leave the garage to realize that it is raining.

@@tobis.1331 the mower I have uses the app to check weather when the mower is docked, i suspect R1 could use a similar mechanism

Can you also place the docking station and garage in a small patio underneath a roof (and not on the grass) ?

That’s shouldn’t be an issue, since R1 doesn’t rely on direct satellite sight. It just needs to be close to an electrical outlet

Yes, you don't have to place the charging station on the grass. Plz make sure the patio allows the robot to exit easily. If you’re unsure, please send a photo of your patio to marketing@oasalife.com, and we’ll evaluate it for you.😉
