The Biosmart 36000 (formerly Biotec 10.1) is the latest generation of a tried and trusted family of gravity filters. High quality materials and optimised functional design combine to achieve superb pond cleaning results. Water is fed into the filter where mechanical media remove solid waste through different grades of filter foams. Biological cleaning utilises beneficial micro-organisms that convert harmful ammonium/ammonia via nitrite to nitrate and finally into harmless gaseous nitrogen.
