Directed by Kelsey Smith - "Call Him is a piece created for strong and powerful women. Inspired by Candace Brown’s 2011 Choreographer’s Carnival piece. I created this piece to not only pay homage to Candace Brown who paved the way for many black women in this industry, but also to showcase the insanely talented women we have here in the DMV. Each dancer has a story to tell in this piece so it’s unique because we’re not just dancing, we’re talking our stuff."
