A demo from 1992 that was never officially released. Another one of my absolute favourite songs. I wanted to upload a good quality version of it with the unclipped guitar note in the beginning.
This song remind me on a day i ended up in a prison CZ in Belgrade. I listened to this song that whole day. I wrote on a cell wall next day morning: “You can colour my life…”
If you're wondering why I've not been speaking my mind sir It took so long since I could call this my home My shapes of confusion fit holes of frustration And there's nothing worse then being home on your own You can colour my life Until it fits with your own You can colour my life Until it fits with your own I've been wondering why you've not been speaking your mind son I've coloured my life and I'll make no bones My shapes of confusion fit holes of frustration You can colour my life until it fits with your own You can colour my life Until it fits with your own You can colour my life Until it fits with your own You can colour my life Until it fits with your own You can colour my life You can colour my life If you're wondering why I've not been speaking my mind sir It took so long since I could call this my home My shapes of confusion fit holes of frustration You can colour my life until it fits with your own You can colour my life Until it fits with your own You can colour my life Until it fits with your own You can colour my life Until it fits with your own You can colour my life You can colour my life Colour my life Colour my life Colour my life
One of the before Oasis songs... All of them have that feeling of "We are trying to born, find our existence in space and time" vibe. It's like they are trying to FORM themselves and do a call for Noel... Take me and See The Sun have that vibe too. So nostalgic, so beautiful, and angelic Liam's voice. Amazing...
Started listening to the song at 5 foot 8 a few moments in I felt 10 foot tall. A band that’s stamped on my heart, that gave me confidence, gave me my wardrobe, gave me self belief that has had a major impact on my life. This is much much more than just a band.

Fuck me im writing this on the first listen and it aint even finished and this is brilliant. Oasis fan since 94' words fail. The mrs is moaning cos im playing it loud in the kitchen i dont care.
@@matthewfish8440 yeh man i remember having a spiritual moment as a 14 yold watching oasis live by the sea. Liam was a god to me. It went down hill after noel through tony under the bus. The Punky swaggery oasis will always live forever.

A big part of me wishes Liam should release this song as a solo artist. Since he wrote this and other Liam-penned Oasis demos, it'd be nice if Liam returns to his old written songs.
Yeah, him and Bonehead should re-record these songs. Maybe update them a bit. I imagine them sung in Liam's current style and that is the key. Oasis made it because of Liam's new-found confidence and new vocal style. Sure, Noel's songs are brilliant. But it's Liam's vocals that made them stand out and made the band sound far bigger and better as well as unique compared to all the other bands of the time.
@@TheDreamer1980 oh, great, I feel like a newbie even though I’ve only been a fan for exactly 30 years. 🤣 Thank you!!! Wow, I seem to learn something new about one of my absolute favorite bands of all time on a daily basis. 🤪 Cheers! 🍻
One of Noel’s later requirements for the band is they had to deliberately play simply, which is why on the band’s first three albums Guigs (or Noel) only plays root notes. Given how this is an early song that never escaped demo hell I’m assuming he had a bit more free reign on what to play or Noel wasn’t as bothered about the complexities of things. Same with Tony’s drumming
Someone like the Chemical Brothers need to do a Manc resurrection series, loads of old demos by Smiths, Roses, James... that could be unearthed and updated.
If oasis did more stuff like this instead ot the whiny, crowd pleasing simplistic tunes that came during their peak, theyd have been a vetter band. Maybe not as successful, potentially. We'll never know.
@@psikiatriekimi Oh stfu with the cliched U2 bashing. U2 were golden back in the day and were a big inspiration for Noel Gallagher, as he publicly said multiple times.
Oasis or 1 of 2 i what liike liam to sing it with noel both on mike with noel playing the guitar with bone head giggies a good drummer wiche .i thought definitely maybe album was th bis fuckin with the really drummer ⏳✌
that chorus is fucking mad, and considering liam wrote the song I think Noel gave him too much shit for his writing. should've been on a b-side atleast, wayyy too good to stay as just a demo.
This was recorded before Oasis went to Liverpool in 1993 to record their demo tape with The Real People. During that time the lead singer of the Realies basically coached Liam to sing less like Ian Brown and more like him, and helped develop Liam's signature vocal style.
I'm wondering if this is a Bonehead creation. This was either right before Noel or it is when he joined. Either way. Top Song. I got it blasting in my ears on repeat while I do a bunch of risks for work. Makes me very chill and can concentrate. It' sounds like the Boardwalk rehearsal room. Finding a song like this, never hearing it before, is amazing. Is this on "oasis the lost tapes" its an unofficial 'album' but is packed with gems like this. Listen to oasis the lost tapes right here on RU-vid
I'm 48, American, and have been an oasis loyalist since 1995. This older stuff shows Liams voice , so powerful. I'm so glad Liam looks better than ever now. Is super focused and more serious now. Cool to see him Putting out number 1 singles and albums. Fillin knebworth in 2022. I think he is just a pure rock n roll star. I hope fðor Peggy's sake they settle this . Meaning put ur bigboy pants on. Jesus, for the sake of their mum its time to grow up. Liam has massively been focused on his solo stuff. He's Voice sounds really good again. He's much more serious now. If Noel can't see the more professional attitude then he should fck right off. Liam has said over and over "it's not about music. It's about just being brothers/family again. They both have their solo stuff. Just be brothers again. Family is so important to their mum Peggy, and very important to older brother Paul. I have seen quotes by Liam multiple times that if something happens to her/health and this isn't settled yet, then it will be open warfare on Noel. I wouldn't wanna pisss him off.. Noel's either quite ballsy, or just plain stupid. He abandoned those working class roots unfortunately years ago. Here's how you can tell perfectly....he is selling the rights to all Oasis songs for 200 million. Says he's buying the biggest yacht. Not giving Liam, bonehead, quigs, Alan white, Andy bell a cut of that 200 mil. Well Noel, I hope your Yacht is called the Naomi and you decide to sail through some rough chop and you sink the fcker. I Love that Liam has bonehead playing a lot of gigs with him. Much respect for that move. Fckin Top Class move straight out of loyalty, friendship. THAT...THAT right there is working class.😮. Not rubbing shoulders and drinking champagne with warmonger Tony Blair
@@gabrieleguglielmotto5122 Yeah man, this was back when Liam was basically trying to sound like Ian Brown. In 1993 they went to Liverpool to record the Live Demonstration tape, that's where Chris Griffiths basically taught Liam his signature singing style.
This is a very early version of Oasis, before the recording of the Live Demonstration tape in Liverpool and the explosion of popularity. Their style, especially Liam's singing voice, was markedly different.
Kino were a great band. Not a lot of people in the west have heard of them. Trying to describe Kino to westerners is difficult 😂 because of stereotyping, ignorance and a lack of understanding of the Russian soul. It's an unfair and lacking comparison but Kino could be described musically as the perfect mix between The Smiths, The Stone Roses and Oasis with a Russian soul ❤
@@alexbojinov It's like somebody threw The Cure and The Smiths in a blender and added a pinch of Joy Division and The Stone Roses, with the irreplaceable touch of Soviet soul. It really is hard to explain.
Everytime when I hear this music, I remember of girl what I knew (knew this music by chance) and this girl is very beautiful, but unfortunatelly is committed. I have contact her, but never talk about interest and I think her everyday and all the time. If she wasn't committed, I say all the feel for her.
Yes, this is Liam Gallagher. He sounds different because this is 1992, when he sounded more like Ian Brown. It wasn't until 1993 when Oasis went to visit The Real People in Liverpool that Chris Griffiths taught Liam how to sing like he did for the rest of his career.
