this oasis tune was requested many times by a few peeps, so as promised here it is have a great weekend folks

It's incredible how many tunes Noel got out of that G position with single note variations built around it. Great cover!

Even though that’s true, in this case the songs original key is A-minor. He’s pitched it down a whole tone to reach the high notes by capoing on fret 3 and using Em/G open position chords. Noel uses a similar trick for acoustic versions of DLBIA. A-minor can be a tough key as A5 is often used which is proper tenor range!

saw an interview where he said that he really likes that chord progression and reckons he will try to get a few more songs using the same exact chord progression... wonderwall = d'you know what i mean...

@@MrKeefelm There's no trickery to it, it's the root of the chord prgressions in 3/4 time and the use of the capo is putting the tuning in this instance top A minor.

4 years later and it's still one of the best covers I've heard. Great voice and solid playing is enough to elicit a thumbs up, but nailing the mixdown on top of that is just flat out refreshing.
