@@TheSniperPLGaming whats confusing about what i said? Hes a talentless druggie with a MASSIVE ego problem. Other than nostalgia from the songs his brother wrote... hes nothing
The Be Here Now era was the bands live peak in my opinion. You look at any live video of 97/98 era oasis and there is something extra ballsy about there performances. It's face meltingly loud. They were on a different planet then.
Chris Knight Love it. Liam calls Mama at the beginning. Noel and Liam’s single working Mom was there to witness two lads from a town no one ever gets out of to become the biggest rock band in the world in less than 2 years. A meteorite story!

YES. YES. Put, fuckin perfectly. These were the last great hope for the working class. Now, sold down the river. Blair got in, convinced working class children UP AND DOWN the nation to fight in an illegal war. Many died. Those who made it back, left in destitution. Whilst his party opened the doors. And we have what he have today. People try to tell me it's progress. Haha.
@@badgasaurus4211 noel is a phenomenal songwriter first, and his singing is just slightly behind that the same goes with guitar playing.....underrated beyond belief.
@@davidmorton2630 yeah you mentioned gilmour and thats right that soloing in bending style fits so well with noel and his style of craft solos by the ultra melodic way and i don't need to say that gilmour are a professional in this department of the bends in the solo, absolutely two legends and the others that you mentioned by the way are LEGENDS TOO
@@davidmorton2630 you have got yo be kidding me. Dave gilmour is absolutely guitar royalty , john squire and Johnny marr next level down , noel Gallagher is third division, and he would say that himself.
Everything to love about Liam encapsulated in this performance. Rasp, rawness, passion and the man left nothing on stage... A master frontman and maybe the best to ever do it
Personally, I think BE HERE NOW was a personal celebration between the members at the time. They'd conquered their home country, flipped off American (well, Liam did) Sold out Knebworth. Played around the world, became millionaires and sealed their place in Rock n Roll history! I mean... What kind of album did you THINK they were going to make? It could only have ever been this.
There best album. There was a backlash against them. Critics panned it. Mostly for there attitude. They didn't kiss ass. No matter what album they would of put out they were going to get crushed by the media. 9 million sold
+James Gormley Exactly, BHN is a rock n' roll party from start to finish... it's the best (and LAST) rock n' roll album that's worth even talking about... the LG voice, NG guitar, bonehead's rythm... end of an era.
Couldn't agree more. This my favourite track off the album. A stripped back remix that is heavy on bass, drums and a tuned down guitar providing extra low range to compliment Noel's guitar work is what's required for this song.
To play an album track live and turn it into something completely brand new, emphasising and empowering it, on show to the en mass is so incredibly rare in this day. Even the 90’s. Drug induced experimental rock n roll. Wow
Very rare you see Noel going for it like this. For a while I used to think Liam carried the band live and they could get it all together again without Noel involved. Just shows at this point he was a man entirely satisfied with his life and career... Biblical.
Get on the roller coaster, the fair's in town today You gotta be bad enough to beat the brave So get on the helter skelter, bowl into the fray You gotta be bad enough to beat the brave You fade in-out You fade in-out Without a doubt I don't see no shine Today is just a daydream Tomorrow we'll be castaway Comin' in out of nowhere, singin' rhapsody You gotta be bad enough to wanna be Sittin' upside a high-chair, the devil's refugee Is gonna be blinded by the light that follows me She fade in-out She fade in-out Without a doubt I don't see no shine Today is just a daydream Tomorrow she'll be cast away We fade in-out We fade in-out Without a doubt I don't see no shine Today is just a daydream Tomorrow you'll be cast away So get on the roller coaster, the fair's in town today You gotta be bad enough to meet the brave Get on the helter skelter, step into the fray You gotta be bad enough to beat the brave You fade in-out You fade in-out You fade in-out You fade in-out You fade in-out You fade in-out You fade in-out You fade in-out You fade in-out
WHAT maore can be said about this song, except maybe that Guigsy's bass playing on this is bloody relentless! Not a flash player but he keeps it going! Well done!
Man, that live version is incredible. The band was on fire at the beginning of that tour, Noel improvising and doing lead, Liam sounding mega, and you can even hear Guigsy's bass ! This is also one of the first times Noel played his 355 live. And one of the few times Bonehead is playing something else than barre chords, on something else than his Epiphone Riviera (the live performances of Up In The Sky are the only other exceptions I can remember).
+mcshadypies They couldn't have done that. They Never played "I Hope, I Think, I Know" or "The Girl In The Dirty Shirt" live...ever! Every other song was done, but those two.
Album version great too. I think live version and studio it's two different songs. Would be great if they put some bonus live version of this song on Be Here Now.
Paul Johnson Me too bro killed it I was 15 years old had to get my parents to come home 1 day early from holiday so I could go, looking back they were great parents to do that! Prob saved up all year for the holiday too
This video was pivotal in when I started listening to Oasis a few years back. Balls to the wall, in your face, absolutely breathtaking. Oasis for a stretch for about a half a decade were undeniably the best band in the world, and man I wish I was around for it.
he gives himself credit as a songwriter. he says he is an average guitarist. maybe he is not very technical but he is more than average. He created great solos and he never fails a note, really maybe 3/4 mistakes in over 20 yrs ;)
Liam's voice at it's best, singing with his whole soul. There will never be another Liam like Liam Gallagher. All the songs from this place are 100%. Magnificent
I was on holiday in wales when be here now came out, I bought it from a shop in Aberystwyth. This was and is still my favourite track of that album. Fucking phenomenal
The last true rock band.....this was when oasis was at its best...adding gem and Andy made them too perfected this is OASIS to me. Bonehead guigsey and Whitey
@@smike2626 I agree. But I don't think that an "I don't give a fuck"-attitude is essential for a true rock band. The Foos are playing top notch classic rock and roll still to this day and filling out stadiums. If the Foo Fighters isn't a true rock band then I don't know who is
@@Joac1193 the foo fighters and oasis can be quite different sound wise, but yeah, they're both rock n roll. i've noticed that more often than not, the lifestyle binds the genre together more than the sound. you can experiment and be rock n roll too. long as you got a bag of charlie, long as you're willin to let the bird free whenever
