Noel was never known for being a good guitarist, it was his writing that made him so good. Any decent guitar player coulda filled noels playing ability
The people that comment it's just a normal solo haven't whatched oasis since 1993/4 he gets every lick right. Iv been playing guitar 30 years and still watch this to listen to the bottom e string being picked at the end of the solo like maine rd. This guy knows his stuff and can play effortlessly. He has the sound down to a tee aswell. Fair play mate
I’m almost 13 and this is my dads account.. I love oasis and my dad plays drums in an Oasis tribute band and he’s good friends with Whitey… This is really the best version of the solo imo on RU-vid. I have been challenged to learn the solo by my birthday in march. So I will try to learn it and post it on my own channel which I’m aloud to have in match. 🤘🏼
@@882richie If you're not aware, all guitar players steal licks from others. It's not a point of mockery, it's a part of learning and is actively encouraged.
@@jensclarberg6419 Erm, no... The song recording isn't in standard E tuning, it's slightly sharp, like a quarter of a step. So if you play in standard tuning against the record, it won't sound right.

@@KyTaundry You don't need perfect technique or anything close to it in order to be able to write simple rock tunes that people love. Also I don't play guitar but I can't imagine it taking more than a few years to perfect this.
