Think they're referring to the night they split. Liam and Noel were arguing and according to Noel, Liam grabbed his guitar and wielded it like an axe before smashing it to bits. He didnt hit Noel or anyone but apparently that was what crossed the line. He quit the band that night.
noel is so much more the mature of the two. he's serious about business. liam is too, but he's also got anger management problems. it's a shame they're not together in a band anymore!!!
You really see their difference in maturity in this. Liam doesn't really have a clue (what he wants). Noel is right about it being for the "MUSIC" but he is condescending towards Liam at times. Liam actually makes a vaild point saying he isnt proud of what he done, Noel jumps in trying to tell Liam that he loves making trouble... Yeah, Noel is probably right but he has to just let Liam talk bullshit in order for them to get along. Hence why they managed until 2009 before Noel finaly had enough.
well Noel obviously tried hard to keep some balances in the band and focus on the music part. However, by arguing like that in an interview has the exact opposite effects from what he desired..He seems to have many personal inquires at the time. Liam was immature but he knew that and just prefered enjoying their success rather than worrying all the time. Immaturity is part of a r&r image, his idols used to overact and he wants to be like them. He seems less confused than his brother though

The stuff about smashing guitars off each other and one day Liam taking over the band seems strange in light of the argument that ended Oasis and what happened next.
I bet that interviewer was sitting there expecting to see a fight within the first 2 minutes of the interview. This is why Oasis were so good. Noel and Liam competing to the better one :D
Both Liam & Noel made the band, But got Pissed Off with each other, As you would if you were hanging around with your bro for the best part of 20 years!! MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC :P Fight Fight Fight Argue! that's what Oasis will be remembered for!
When I was using and drinking I was more like Noel. I kept my head down and stayed out of trouble. Some people, like Liam god bless that boy, have their fuckin necks up in the air looking for any trouble they can find.
I have that hate/love with Liam but we have to think. Coming from nothing, encouraged to be obnoxious, uneducated and only about 20, it's very unsurprising.
