Ob Nixilis vs Niv-Mizzet vs Tymna/Sakashima vs Tymna/Jeska | CEDH Gameplay 

It felt like everyone was having fun exiling Cal's deck while Drannith was out.

It's funny how Ob is now more powerful in its creature form than most of its planeswalker forms

Gotta say, Ob Nixilis Captive Kingpin has to be my absolute favorite new cEDH commander! He just interacts so well with everything cEDH players are trying to do that he can both turbo as well as grind very nicely. Red's stack interaction has gotten significantly better over the years, so while it will never interact quite as well as the blue decks, Ob himself is still a force to be reckoned with. . . . . Also, I know how much y'all dislike Drannith, but I feel like this game is a great example of why I think he's necessary if not a net-positive for the format. Slowing the game down I find to generally be a good thing as it gives non-turbo decks a chance to play, and so much in cEDH specifically revolves around either commander combos or doing stuff from graveyard/exile that having some non-hand casting hate on a creature specifically is important. I do still think most cEDH decks don't run enough creature removal which is understandable in a Breach/ThOracle world, so having something that says "remove me or your strategy is impossible to execute" is necessary to keep decks honest.

Ob is my new main cEDH deck, i had Prosper and when they spoilered Ob, it was obvious as hook in the eye. I love the deck so much, its such fun to pilot and make all the tricky win lines. Definitly the best rakdos cedh deck there is rn. I do recommend all of u to try it, nothing better then impulsivly drawing tons of cards from enemies fetch lands 💖

Hi! Sorry for what I am going to ask (it might sound dumb). There's a reason to play "Firebrand Archer" in the Ob Nixillis deck and not playing "Kessing Flamebreather"? Maybe there's something that I am missing, but doesn't the KEssing Flamebreather has the same effect and better stats? It's a 1/3 (so it could trigger if he does combact damage), It could block Ragavan without dying and can't be killed with just one ping... am I missing something...? Again, sorry for the dumb question. Have a wonderful day ^^

how was drannith magistrate on the board for so long! I hate that card!! My playgroup literally said Ob Nixilis couldn't hang in CEDH. "Too slow"...nonsense I said! with all the fetches and ping damage You'll have a huge hand on your turn and a big beat stick commander. I'm building a very similar deck that cranks out treasures and sacs them for the win with mirkwood bats or mayhem. It was nice watching it work. Gonna show the playgroup this video.

it's funny how people think that the ability is hard to trigger, but when you look at your average EDH game, people pay 1 life a LOT, Ob Nixilis is a great commander, my personal record so far is 30/29 in terms of power.

Drake's not on red? No way! In all seriousness, I'm surprised that Sakashima/Tymna isn't more popular. I have a Tyman/Sakashima casual deck where the goal is to turbo out Dark Depths and remove the counters as quickly as possible with Vampire Hexmage, then use Sakashima and a bunch of other clones to make a huge board of Marit Lages. It's awesome. Edit: Damn, that Drannith Magistrate play was awesome. Second edit: Good to see ma boi Lotho seeing some action. Third edit: Cal really felt the heat this game, lmao. Fourth edit: Cal deserved that win.

As a fellow Ob Nix player I think you need like 5-8 ways to remove drannith in the deck.

The 3 worst decks to play against ob lol if drannith wouldn’t have been out he would of won a lot sooner. GG this gets me excited to finish my prosper deck I run alot of the same cards as ob and that combo win was great I didn’t think about getting devil after curio and docki and sacrifice the treasures to ping splendid 🤌🏻

Cool thing to see here for Ob vs Niv is that it doesnt have the same deck limitations for damage since it just keeps exiling instead of drawing like Niv. What an uphill battle!
