Wrong jacket to wear! sorry about the noise! Installing the boost gauge wiring for lights and fitting a relocation for the OBD port! Instagram: / _wilson_st Twitch: / phrasy
Love these little mods. I had an attempted snatch on on my st3 a few months back. They opened the obd compartment to find it was missing, luckily Evans halshaw relocated these prior to my purchase. I knew nothing about the keyless theft until it happened. Good on you to educate other fiesta st owners. I did buy a diskloc tho to at least stop them putting the window through again. Touch wood it's never been touched again since. Great video mate. Thank you
They won't touch your car if they see a diskloc. I also installed a blue blinking led. And obd disabled stickers on the window. I think you should do a video explaining how easy obd theft is on fords. Get the word out. There are still loads of owners unaware of this mate.
at first i just slid them between the wire and the plastic and taped them, but now ive used a spade head connector and slid them down between the plastic and the metal part, its hard to explain haha
Hi Wilson, thanks for putting up such an informative video on this. I have followed your instructions for wiring and while I do have power, the dimming doesn’t seem to work, it just stays at the same output even though the dash lights are dimming with the dial. Did you actually manage to make yours dim with the dash lights? I plugged into number 7 and number 11, so I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong. Have you any suggestions?
Nick Smith hello thank you for them kind words, I did actually look into this problem after doing this video because my gauge also was not dimming, and if I remember correctly all you have to do is instead of using the normal 7 & 11 pins (11 being black and 7 being purple) all you need to do is use 11 - black wire and then I can't rember what number it is but I'm pretty sure its the orange wire, so use the black for ground and orange for power, if it not them 2 then sorry I can't help as I haven't yet done this with mine, ive still just got power without dimmer ATM :)
I had a look and found a yellow/orange and purple wire and a yellow/orange and green wire. I haven’t tried them yet, was planing to test with a multimeter first
@@LifeBeingWilson you are right but you dont do a video on how to do something when you havent done it yourself. I didnt need to know how to hook it up i was looking to see how flat the adapter was to see what type i needed for my vehicle.
