Another one recreation of the legend - Oberheim OB-X8. Same size, more presets, more control. I never have any in-person contact with the original OB-Xa so this is my first experience with this famous sound. Enjoy my demo and leave comments below about it!
Recorded directly from OB-X8 outs to Tascam DR-05X (24/96)
Oberheim OB-X8 specifications:
- Two discrete SEM-series VCOs per voice
- Discrete SEM series VCFs (Curtis filter), high-pass, band-pass and notch functions
- Velocity-sensitive FATAR keyboard with 61 keys
- Bi-timbral option allows two presets simultaneously for splits and doubles
- Over 400 Factory presets (all factory sounds for the OB-X, Ob-Xa and OB-8)
- Over 600 User preset
- Arpeggiator
- Patch management
- Unisono allows variable stacking of 1-8 voices
- Programmable panorama per voice
- OLED display
