That fight got super ugly at the end and I can't blame Obi Wan for not wanting to go back in to do the double tap.

Shitty writing because they clearly don't know their own source material. Obiwan saw Anakin pledge himself to the dark side as Lord Vader, therefore this scene is stupid.

She knows because the storm troopers called him Lord Vader.

Many of the inquisitors are ex-Jedi, she could’ve known Anakin before.

She also may have put two and two together from all the time she spent in the Jedi archives finding out about Obi Wan's connection to Bail Organa.

@@madelinegarber7860 I definitely imagine it was more of "how could I have allowed him to continue suffering after what I had done to him." As well as being hit by the grief of losing him and the weight of what he had done all over again. In addition to a healthy dose of fear.

I also really feel like, in that instant, he reached out in the force to try and sense Anakin again. He'd spent 10 years thinking he'd killed his best friend who he'd raised and trained from a boy basically the same age as Luke/Leia are now. That cut straight to Vader opening his eyes felt very intentional to me in that Obi-Wan, now knowing Anakin survived, reached out and Anakin/Vader felt that and 'awoke'

I'm leaning to it being Satine because the list of episodes disney said to watch he calls her stubborn multiple times, and obi doesn't have that much time with padme to get that from her

Agreed. I also went back n forth between Satine and Padme but ultimately connected the dots to Satine. Obi Wan spent more time with Satine than Padme.

@@simonliu1728 yeah, we as an audience connect it more to padme because we as the audience see a lot of these traits in padme, but obi has a pretty limited time with her and wouldn't have gotten the same strong connection to her as we do

While I'm sad that we're not seeing more of Luke it kinda makes sense. due to episode IV we pretty much cannot have Ben interact with Luke in any way. They never met.

Luke doesn't remember meeting Obi-Wan. They might have encountered one another when Luke was 3-5. By EpIV Luke doesn't know Kenobi, but he knows of someone named Old Ben Kenobi who lives quite far away. The name has come up via the Jawas or Toshi enough to be remembered.

@@DoremiFasolatido1979 Bryce is downright amazing - some of my favorite cinematography in Mandalorian is on her episodes. To be fair, we only got all this great new content because Lucasfilm was open to bringing in new talent and giving them a chance, so I'm excited to see new directors/writers coming and I think we should be a little a open-minded too. And to also be fair, let's not forget that it was Kennedy who gave us this Kenobi show - she was smart enough to scrap the previous draft and get Deborah to direct this one instead. If we're going to pile on her for the mistakes that were made, we also need to acknowledge her good moves - nothing gets greenlit at Lucasfilm without her blessing, including the good stuff we like. I think they were shaky in the beginning, but they have good people working on it now, and I think they've found their stride.

His skin grafts are purposefully defective and constantly going necrotic, leading to constant pain and itchiness and the necessity for routine bacta-tanks and med-droid sessions. His limb stumps were also allowed to improperly heal, leading to constant pain every time he walks, shifts his weight.....or just stands there. Post-suit Vader is a life of actual constant agony. Arguably deserved, considering. But still agony.

Like the stubborn line is something he directly calls satine in those clone wars arcs that disney suggested we watch prior to this. Obi doesn't get a lot of time with padme to draw that personality connection

Yes for those who didnt they can link it to padme, which is weird cause obi has almost no time with her in the.prequel movies but they could. For people who know the series its satine likely

Does the species have a redundant spine too? Because being stabbed by a light saber through the center of the stomach kinda gets rid of that too... Characters receiving fatal wounds and then being just fine is getting really old

True but Qui-Gon somehow managed to die from a wound just like the one Quizzie got here. I guess the Dark Side has an edge on avoiding death from lightsaber wounds? 🤷‍♀️

@@TorIverWilhelmsen Possible but it would be quite a coincidence if two consecutive Grand Inquisitors were the same obscure alien race, especially in the human-centric Empire. I'd bank he's just not dead.

I doubt it was a red herring, they don't put stuff like that in for no reason. The only thing I hope is that they don't put 3rd sister too much into the front and take away screen time from Ewen. I'm find with a story about the 3rd sister (even though her angle feels a bit too much like 2nd sister from Fallen Order to me 'oh no the jedi didn't help me so I'm mad at them now') But.. if they keep the balance and give Ewen enough time and make 3rd sister interesting and make her a link between obi wan and Anakin, then I'm fine with it. And yes she most likely knew Anakin before he became vader (he was pretty famous during the war and was a council member at the end after all). And if she saw him during the temple attack it should be pretty obvious to her. I mighly doubt she'd dare call him Anakin Skywalker in his presence though...

I just think she blames Obi-Wan for leading Anakin to the path that ended in him slaughtering her youngling friends.
