Hey everyone few things to add. 1) Keep in mind that if you convert Free EXP you're doing it at the worst time possible with no discount and importantly if you don't win the tank you'll not be able to get your gold back. 2) This tank will likely go for 300k+ free exp, it's likely to be a vehicle that only those with deep pockets or those who have already "completed" the game by unlocking each tank will obtain. 3) The 3rd game ended as a win, sorry I didn't show the result! Makes sense having a T-10 hull as the real life Obj.268's were based on the T-10 chassis

Did anyone hear that it doesnt have 150+mm gun sound? It sounds like 105mm

Looks like a relatively high skill-cap, competitive vehicle, without being overpowered. Wished WG would release more regular top tier tanks like this, instead of the current meta.

The enemy 268 5 in the first battle was Ohare (Ohare83 on twitch) who is a German CC and Streamer and it was his first game

In the first game, I think part of the reason that you got shot so much in the rangefinder weak spot, was that it was the only major part of your tank visible over the top of the EBR wreck.

This Tank got Buffed on release on Console, for example it got alpha increase from 750 to 850 (Just like the T110E4 on Console which also got an armour buff (yeah......)). On Console it's worth 22,500 gold or 450,000 Free XP but got mine in a Campaign/Season.

Umm, bleeding people of free exp before the YOH line of tanks is a fantastic way of getting people to buy more gold, for more free exp, maybe buying premium time, so that you can buy all the tank specific modules for the low tier tanks...

As far as I can see, people probably expect the turret to be very strong, being Russian and all. When they figure out the turret is not as strong, it will probably be way more difficult to do well in the tank

Something to consider is that if the top end of the bidders are going to be way higher than the lower end of the bidders of the median; then bidding the median might not be enough. Considering there will be 10000 units and 50000+ bidders. Hope that made sense

Even with as tempting as this tank might seem... I find myself with a curious thought where I cant be bothered with new tanks at all. We NEED new maps to get implemented. WTF happened with all the maps that we had with recon.. WHEN WILL THEY COME>

Over on console we got this tank just like this they buffed it a month later and now it is one of the most powerful TD's so PC's might get a buff

Why didn't you compare it to the 114 SP2? I guess this one has better armor while the chinese one has better gun handling?

I was wondering what will the Object 268 version 2 and 3 really look like ?

The tank's forehead is only 30mm too, so the turret is really only going to be capable of getting the occasional bounce but it's not something you'd be able to rely on. I don't have anywhere near the amount of free exp to bid on it anyway but I don't know if I would in the first place. On the bright side, it doesn't look insanely OP.

Wargaming is selling tier 10 premiums. It also doesn't help that in a recent micropatch they added a replica wt Auf e100 named the wt 12 into the game files. I sense something truly terrible about to enter these auctions

On console wot this tank is available for (I think) one year and it has 850 alpha and it is still played often and at leat in my humble opinion is not too overpowered and fits well in the game...

On the console the 268 V5 is a serious monster. Hull sucks but the turret works great and the gun is nasty.

Tomato here. Got this on the Asia server and i absolutely love it. I think it has a really low skill floor but a higher than average skill ceiling. Great for tomatoes and unicums alike.

Thanks for the video QB. I got the tank based on your opinion and I love it. I'm a pretty average player and have been doing about 4k damage on average. It may not be for everyone, but it suits me.

On Console this thing is disgustingly overpowered, but it was buffed twice if compared to PC, so honestly in the current state, it won't be as broken as on our version. It is basically a Grille 15 that is immune to HE

Ok everyone, there is a reason Qbaby and pros are good at this game. Pay attention to him looking at his mini map. He's always reading the map. It's one of the hardest skills to pick up, but the most important one. It's like checking your rearview mirror while you're driving, always have your awareness up.

We don’t have the bond equipment and all on console we just have normal base equipment. And I have the OBJECT 268 5. At 4.28RPM With 850 alpha. Great dpm for versatile TD.

I think the introduction of the obj 268v5 is a small hint of a potential universal camo rework.

This tank looks exactly like the soviet version of the 114 SP2 tier X chinese reward tank from ranked but more like a “brawler” style. Honestly I don’t think that this will be op but damn it has more camo than like a Grille 15.

The Obj 268 5 is actually already on console and on console it is actually one of the best if not the best TD in the game. Because on console it has a better turret that can bounce also T10 and it has a better dpm and also 850 alpha damage.

i think its pretty similar to the 114 sp ranked reward tank, evem though i think this one is better because it has better armor (not really good but also not complete trash), more speed and nearly 100 pen more, therefor gunhandling is worse and i believe a bit less camo but thats about it

We've had this tank on console for a bit. Except ours has 850 alpha and we can equip a crew skill for 10% reload boost. I think mine is sitting around 3,770 dpm. The armor is not great but the tank can be enjoyable. Personally the poor gun handling is what affects my play.

In the NA server they are offering 4500. As of 10am they were not all accounted for. I'm definitely trying to get this.

after watching you play it I was tempted but with the converting ratio I am less inclined especially being that It would only be used in randoms for me, but if I did get it close to minimum price it would be nice. Just that the 155k free xp would also allow me to get the super conq without buying the Tier 8 or 9 first as I already have all the fragments for the conq and Sconq with the Caern unlocked already.

I was thinking the same thing. That tank is a fast T-30. Turreted TDs fell so much nicer then others.

This is what I wanted to my 277 to be, not a worse 5a. This feels like a tier 10 t-10. Would have loved to see the 277 with an actually unique gun

They released this tank on console a little while ago for their season pass thing and a lot of people got it for free. They seem to have released it on pc as it’s console release state since they buffed the hell out of it on console (better turret armor, turret traverse, gun handling, and better ground resistance) and now it’s top 5 tier X’s in the game.

As avid xbox player we have had the 268v5 for about a year. It is a hell of a killer at distance but hull is a bit weak and you need to upgrade ammo rack or your gonna hit lidded all the time. My high roll ap shots are around 900 avg damage

Got the tank. Have played 10 battles. After about 30 shots I have yet to score even the average damage with gold (supposed to be average of 750 (562-938)). Best hit was 713 (point blank into side of a JagdPanther Teir 9) with most in the 600's and a few in the upper 500's. It seems WOT nerfed the gun after the auction ended. Caveat emptor, guys.

3:50 Because I hear it pretty often from you, I just wanted to say that a rotation device decreases your dispersion during tank and turret traverse but it also increases your tank and turret traverse so that the effects cancel out. Your dispersion during turret and tank traverse will be the same but you'll just traverse quicker, because the faster you traverse, the bigger your reticle becomes. I have that information from the official WoT channel where they explained what the new equipment devices do.

Hi QB! Did watch this for the first time today! I'm thinking about to buy it for Bonds. But I can't find any in deeper test of this TD as you mention should come after the preview. Maybe do that now when it's in the bond store. Best regards from Sweden.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but QB featured a replay of this tank back in 2016 or 17 from the Chinese server. Judging by the stats, the tank didn't seem to change all these years.

Yeah saw that tank yesterday, the dude called it a TD disguised as a heavy tank I was playing IS-3 and there was 3 t10s 2 were 268 4s and there was 1 268 5.

One thing that is interesting about this tank is its gun's sound while shooting. Why does is sound like IS-3's 122mm while packing 750 dmg like Grille 15's 150mm?

I think you have to play it like a pseudo medium tank. Give it coated optics, rotation mechanism and grousers, reduce its top speed and reverse (which it can't reach anyway) to give it camo and Dpm and use its decent mobility and camo to go to flanking positions with bushes and throw 750 alpha dmg bombs. Its armor prevents it from playing a pseudo heavy role imo. It will however be able to deal with most medium tanks if it all ins them.

114 SP2 from ranked will get fully traversable turret too.

Play this tank on console and love it. Yeah the armour can be a bit week but boy can it hit and move well

It is strange that merely the description of a tank can change its cammo rating. I know the game has many tanks that simply didn't exist. But considering it also employs some form of real world physics, it just seems odd.

This tank is like a TD / Medium hybrid. I think it would be much better played like the T-10, supporting your medium tanks.

On console it does 850 damage with 303 pen on standard rounds and 395 pen on premium rounds which is insane and view range is 390 base before any equipment or crew

People complaining that the turret sucks and here I am using a 110E4 that is nearly impossible to block shots anymore.

This tank I believe was a Chinese server exclusive, it’s also on the console version

00:47 on Sunday 16th Jan - competitive bid for the 268 v5 is now 600,000 free xp, lol.

Post bidding, on NA servers only 4500 were available, about 8800 bids, 405000 was the last competitive bid that I saw, I bid 437100 and got the tank! I am very happy as I converted a lot of free xp when it was 35xp per gold so I only had to convert 200k on the normal 25xp per gold and I do not regret my decision. Curious to learn what the final EU numbers are like.

On Xbox. We have has the object 268 5 for awhile now. On console the tank destroyer nerf that happen to tank destroyers long time ago that change damage from 850 to 750 hasn’t happened. Therefore on Xbox it has the 850 alpha. With better rate of fire. The reload time in only like 1 second different between the normal 268 v 268 5.

And there are those of us who have been banking experience on all tanks since the announcement of the Yoh tanks and used the conversion discount a couple of weeks ago to exchange that for free experience. I'm hoping that I have enough free experience to both buy this and still move up the Yoh tank tech tree with alacrity

On console this thing is largely better Stat wise and just in general my best games for tds was in this thing a full camo crew in this thing is really reliable on console really hard to spot on certain maps.

If it turns out anything like the OBJ 268 V5 on xbox, it's one of the strongest destroyers in the game. Decent turret, incredibly sneaky & a good enough reload to rip apart anything that sits in front of you. It's just a sneaky T 10 with a 268 gun. Definitely high skill cap vehicle. On xbox, you can grab it for 9k gold (315k free xp) if you wait for convert xp sale & wait for tier 10 premium sale after that.

This tank on console is probably the best tier 10 td in the game because the onlqyq difference between console and pc is the console version has 850 alpha instead of 750

If you poke and shoot from corners slightly angled or angled at 45 degrees like you would with a object 257 it’ll bounce a lot SO many random bounces in it, trust me

The Obj. 268 V.5 seems like a combination of the T1110E4 and the new 114 SP2. The T110E4 having some decent situational armor (primarily upper hull I believe) and being slower and having a half-rotatable turret and the 114 SP2 having paper armor and being quite agile. The problem is, the T110E4's armor is already mediocre at best, the Obj. 268 V.5's armor is basically worthless in Tier 10 matches (unless matched up against tier 8 or maybe 9). Which at that point makes it a worse114 SP2 except for HE dmg. Against tier 8's it might be a better T110E4 as it's armor is more even across the front compared to the T110E4's many weakspots. Interesting tank at least, glad it doesn't seem OP. (Same for the 114 SP2.)

Wish I could get this, it’s like a 60TP but on a medium-ish tank profile… looks fun! But if don’t I’m glad it has a very prominent weak spot.

Finally they're all complete variant of Obj-268 a heavy plus 3 types of TD front/rear/360° turret. even though 2 of them are real but ver4 and 5 is a complete blueprint and Data of their origin.

Obj 268 is the second tier X I have ever 3 marked, I'm looking forward for this tank

This thing has been on console for over a year now and it's an absolute beast. It's one of the best tier X tanks in the game in my opinion. The hull armor isn't the best but it has a great turret. Fun to play, annoying to play against. And now that is on PC, I wouldn't be surprised if the Chieftain Mk.6 is one of the offered tanks in this event

It looks like it plays like a faster T110e4, which I think is a good thing. The e4 is a fun TD to play once you get the hang of it.

View range doesnt matter tho because the meta is tds park near the arty and then use their team mates to spot and farm damage from the rear it happens in every game and its why am taking a break from wot again last time was for a year and half this time am thinking i ll be back next xmas to see if the meta is actually enjoyable or not

Wait, is this a tank that console got first? Isn’t it usually the other way around? I play console but love QB’s videos, usually console lags behind pc with tank releases by a few years, no? This was a battle pass reward tank on console a few seasons ago back in Sep/Oct. of 2021 I believe. Really awesome tank. Similar stats except alpha is 850 on console. Interested to see how this thing does on pc!

Well, so far from what I saw, seems balanced enough with the armor and glaring bulge on the turret, shame these auctions end up with such high costs.
